So to summarize:

Already departed
Josh McGuire
Jordan Kahu
Kodi Nikorima

Very likely departing
James Roberts

Rumored to want out/tap on the shoulder
Matthew Lodge
Darius Boyd
Andrew McCullough
Alex Glenn

Dropped to ISC (maybe temp)
Jamayne Isaako

That is 9 of last years starting 17 that are already gone, are as good as gone or are rumored to be leaving by the end of the year, including 3 of the 4 spine players. I can't remember the last time the Broncos have had such a huge turnover of players in one season, let alone in 3-4 months. Seibold is doing a pretty good job in my opinion going by that list, because of the 9, there are only 2 that I would be going into bat to fight for, being Lodge and McGuire. Roberts is an exciting player to watch when he is at his best, but when he is at his best for only 1 in 6 games, it's hard to argue against his departure, especially if he doesn't want to be here and you have talent like Staggs knocking on the door. The rest you may as well just cut adrift into an ebbing tide and wave them off into the sunset because they are cooked ducks.

It's beginning to look a lot like a cleanout, and considering many of us have been suspicious of a rotten culture of indifference at the club for some time, maybe beyond on field success 2019 won't be so bad after all. Of those names listed, who would you be in the corner of to be kept?

The only problem is how much of our salary cap are we going to be wasting on players who aren't here anymore...

Only Lodge for me and Lexi if we managed to get rid of enough of the other dead wood. McCullough at his best was serviceable, but time is starting to catch up with him as well and he does not suit Seibold's game plan.

Can we add Fensom and Taga to the list and perhaps buy a couple of experienced players who are leaders who have not had all of the juice squeezed out of the lemon. Someone like Graham 3 years ago.

I had a feeling Seibold wouldn't muck around with this squad.

What can he see that Wayne couldn't ? [emoji848]

Send out the chequebook to Clint Gutherson, Manase Fainu & Manu Ma'u.

1. Gutherson (c)
2. Oates
3. Staggs
4. Bird
5. Isaako
6. Milford
7. Dearden
8. Haas
9. Fainu
10. Ofahengaue
11. Su'A
12. Gillett
13. Ma'u

14. Turpin
15. Fifita
16. Carrigan
17. Flegler

Groom Fifita to replace Gillett after next season, who should also retire early if he doesn't drastically improve his offensive output. Sign Ma'u to a 2 year deal to give us some mongrel and reliable performance at Lock. Groom Carrigan to replace him in a couple of years, or potentially even sooner, Ma'u has shown throughout his career he doesn't care if he's starting or not, he'll perform every week either way.

I like the changes that will come from this. Staggs offers way more than Roberts and is great in defence and really competes.

Shibasaki on the wing is another big back returning the ball, Isaako hits the line hard but usually gets pushed back 5 meters each time. Shiba will need some time to change positions.

Bird swapping to prefered side.

Macca out so Turps?, service speed should increase.

Boyd maybe being moved out.

I think Fifita has to be starting now. He is to good to be playing from the bench.

it is a 17 man game ... not a 13.

people under-estimate the value of the bench.

He needs to be playing all 80 minutes.

I definitely don't underestimate the bench.

Its going to be interesting. I'd say we will be subsidising wages of a few players we want to offload. Recruitment will be difficult as there isnt much quality on the market right now. Harry Grant is off contract i believe, he is an obvious target.

2020 see's quite a few decent player coming off contract. Mitchell, Arrow, Cotric, Brimson ( i think ), Manu, Clifford are a few i think we should have a look at. Other option is to recruit from superleague.

I think the key is starting strongly, and getting confidence out of not playing from behind. Bench is important, but he's only getting 20-30 minutes, when we've already lost.
