I think Carrigan proved he's ready for more minutes tonight. Flegler has been valiant for us this year, but I'd say he'll be getting a spell next week (Not due to form, but because of the arrival of Segs and emergence of Haas & Patty) He'll get another chance before too long.

1. Boyd (c)
2. Oates
3. Staggs
4. Roberts/Shibasaki
5. Isaako/Farnworth
6. Milford
7. Dearden
8. Lodge
9. Turpin
10. Haas
11. Glenn
12. Gillett
13. Carrigan

14. Segeyaro
15. Fifita
16. Pangai Jr
17. Ofahengaue

Gee whiz it's tough on Flegler to leave him out after his start to the year and his potential. Glenn is the odd one out there IMO given Fifita needs to be starting sooner rather than later, imagine a Seggy, Flegler, TPJ, Offa bench. Wow.

I would say there is a good chance Shibasaki will be centre for two reasons: he’s a terrible winger and Roberts is on the outer.

Personally, I would keep Carrigan on the bench for this game.

We have plenty of impact on the bench already, and with Segeyaro coming into the side next week, we'll have even more impact.

I would keep Carrigan on the bench, bring him on in the final 20 of each half, perhaps a little earlier in the second and just tell him to tackle his heart out. His defence would be valuable at the back end of each half.

I also thought Carrigan provided quite a bit of impact himself with his runs. He made 62 post contact metres which was the 3rd highest amongst the forwards.

Anyone else wonder why it is only round 10 but we already play the Roosters again?

What kind of bullshit scheduling is this? There is still 5 more teams we haven't played yet.
Yep, because NRL

Shouldn't there be more than 5 ?

Personally I would go with this side.

1. Jamayne Isaako
2. Corey Oates
3. Kotoni Staggs
4. Darius Boyd
5. James Roberts
6. Anthony Milford
7. Tom Dearden
8. Matthew Lodge
9. Jake Turpin
10. Payne Haas
11. Alex Glenn
12. Matt Gillett
13. David Fifita

14. James Segeyaro
15. Patrick Carrigan
16. Tevita Pangai Junior
17. Joe Ofahengaue

Boyd and Roberts to switch around in attack with Roberts switching back to the wing in defence.

Fifita to start because he needs more minutes out there. I don't think he is getting enough time off the bench and I feel he is better off as a starter.

TPJ, Ofahengaue and Segeyaro are the impact players. I would give TPJ the task of running at the halves and looking to throw some offloads. I would tell Segeyaro and Isaako to stay on him sniffing for those offloads. I would also give Segeyaro the task of running from dummy half whenever he sees an opportunity. I want him to sniff around for tiring forwards and use his speed to hopefully take advantage.

Carrigan's job is simple. I would bring him in on in the final 20 of each half and tell him to tackle his heart out. He is there to give us a fresh defender in the middle when the others are tiring.

It's tough for Flegler but I think we should give him a couple of weeks break to keep him fresh for the Origin period.

I don't think we can win but this will be a barometer on our improvement and pride after our last meeting..

I think we might lose Dearden for this game.

I didn't see a replay but I don't think there is any, but I'm pretty sure Elgey was in the air when Dearden tackled him around the legs after his kick.
Didn’t see, but who would play HB

We just need to start well, not get blown off the park early. If we let in a try or 2 and the heads drop I will be disappointed, we will be back to where we started.

I'm still holding out hope for a miracle recovery from Bird. I think if he plays we win.

I've been really impressed with Flegler, but he's definitely slowed down a bit the last couple of weeks. Can't blame him at this age, but he might need a rest.

I'd bring Issako in and play Shibaski at centre. Roberts is leaving anyway...God knows where every other decent coach will be just like Siebold..
