I’m strongly in the drop herbie camp. He’s been pretty bad since signing with the dolphins and his defensive reads last night were terrible. Almost cost us the game by rushing ups and going for someone who never even got the ball.

he leaves end of year anyway. Jesse Arthur’s deserves to be in the team he has been great this year, or at least Dene Mariner.

The Lang Park pitch- finally sorted🆗🆗🆗🆗
From Pat’s first ’tackle’ on the Gambler being penalised it was obvious how the game was going to be reffed. Right up to the last play of the game where he gave Newy two goes at trying to snatch the win - the reffing was quite pathetic rofl:rofl
Riki’s kick chase all night, especially that one where he hammered Marzew 🐇🐇🐇💥💥💥💥
Walsh’s try assist and that effortless line Piakura ran for the try🦴👍🦴👍🦴
Snatching a win at the death despite playing the team that was fresh off the bye for the third straight week🫀🫀🫀🫀🫀
Kobe taking and handing out the knocks in equal measure and that last gasp offload to set up our final try⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Reyno and Ezra show 👑👑👑👑👑
That last pass💦💦💦💦💦
The thing I love about rikis kick chase is he is coming for you no matter what blockers are in the way. We never get a penalty for it anyway. Imagine watching the video as a fb throughout the week KNOWING riki is gonna smack you no matter what

As the pioneer of putting shit on Herbie for killing momentum - and the one who copped a barrage of invective for pointing it out - I still wouldn't drop him. The worst I'd do is swap him with Cobbo, but that might introduce other issues. His attack has always been self centred, but his defence is normally pretty good, but he's slipped a bit recently.

I think we have to endure his idiosyncrasies, and appreciate what positives he brings, until he leaves.

I thought billy walters was excellent with his kicking. He was a touch unlucky not to get at least on 40-20 and overall he was very goid. Reynolds was struggling to find the right purchase on it and those kicks from dummy half take the pressure off him. Probably macca's influence. Those little darts probing the line remind me of kerrod walters where hed have forwards linking up as well.
Yes, it's nice to see him chancing his foot occasionally. We lost a bit of that when Jake left:

Smoothy's ruck speed was the starting catalyst that made the team click.
Didn't get enough time to settle in, but I liked what I saw once he got over his nerves. His passing isn't as pretty as Billy's, but I prefer his placement. He keeps the forwards rolling. I hope Kevvie gives him more time next round, and ideally switches them around, with Billy coming on in the last 20 or so.

Anyone trying to defend the Reffs after this game - well, I only hope they get better.

The idiot tried his best all game to give a leg up to the Knights. Tried his best to the last second to rob the W from us. Pathetic.

**** you NSWRL. **** Vlando. **** Annersely.
And yet we have more wins than any other team.

But it's not his strength. Oates skillset isn't throwing a 5-6m pass while at full speed. If he throws it and misses the mark, he is scolded by Kevvie.
If Corey had his time over again I'm sure he would've done the same thing, but rolled the defence.

He's a winger. All that needs to be said.

Another thing that must be driving the anti-billy crew crazy... where the **** has his kicking game come from?! Top notch the last 2 weeks!
It's great to see him becoming less one-dimensional, and I thought he was pretty good last night. His hard flat spiral passes are exactly what I was on about Macca lacking years ago. But, if we're to be honest, he's been good, maybe even very good last night, but the rest of the spine has been FABULOUS. I would rate his kicking game as less than Turpin's, but his service is much snappier.

Oh okay apologies and thanks, I'll keep that in mind before I mess up a thread again.
