In the interests of keeping up positivity after what seems the first win in ages, how about listing your favourite regular season moments or wins (excluding finals because it’d be 100% Locky):

For mine:

5. Thaiday dominates JWH, 2015. Fading quickly as he edged closer to retirement, Sammy brings out a performance from the top shelf and dominated Jared Waerea-Hargraves

4. Milford field goal, 2016 over the Cowboys. Still hurting from that day in 2015 Milford breaks Cowboys hearts.

3. Isaako golden point win, 2018. Many regulars wouldn’t have realised he was a field goal specialist in training but Isaako runs past the Roosters and breaks Cronks ankles in the process. Latrell putting on a clinic, Roberts tearing up grass and Napa leading with the head, game had it all.

2. Milf/Hunt show for Souths, 2015. The boys put on a clinic to put the Rabbits out of the planet.

1. Denan Kemp after the buzzer, 2008. Gone for all money, Locky does what Locky does best and kicks after the buzzer for speed machine Kemp to score in the corner.

I think this is an excellent idea for a thread @Caniffe

Two spring to mind for me.

1. Lachlan Maranta's try against the Raiders in 2015. Maranta capped off a stunning play right on half time. The Raiders were almost in. We somehow got the ball and kept it alive. Ben Hunt was awesome in this play. Wayne Bennett was caught on the sideline laughing. He later said it was because a fan in the crowd was geeing him up about his Clint Eastwood persona lol.

A great night for footy!

2. I don't recall the year but there was this unbelievable set of defense against the Bulldogs one night. It was the game Corey Parker copped a boot to the head from Sam Kasiano. The next set had three or four Broncos in every tackle smashing them and driving them into the turf. Riveting to watch.

Roosters were hot favourites to win the title coming into the finals, I believe they were even favourites with the bookies going into this game too. First kick of the game Darbs picks off SKD and the beatdown was on from there. Great game & great night. Probably the best performance this club has had since the 06 GF.

In the last 10 years, 2015 had some brilliant tries that we've scored. I remember there was one where we started on the right wing and gone the full length of the field with a lot of passing too.

A bit past that, 2008 had some entertaining ones too, especially with Kemp.

I think last night there was a huge moment that sort of went unheralded. There was a scrum being packed and big beast Marty Tapou tried to swing the momentum back in Manly's favour by trying to intimidate our forwards at the setting of the scrum. Lodgey stood up to him and at that moment I thought ' beauty we've got our alpha male who'll make sure no one is allowed to stand over our younger forwards.'

That sort of gutsy behaviour has been missing since Sammy and Moose left.

We're getting there. End of this year will be great to watch. Next year will be awesome.

These two for mine. I'll have a bit of a think but I can tell you my number 1 won't change. The moment they rushed Lockyer, I knew it was over.

A few more came to mind, although I don't have specifics.

The game where Oates carried 2-3 players over the try line after running (from memory) the length of the field.

That time Cameron Smith ran at Oates and he just picked him up and dumped him. Smith got up and looked over at Oates several times as he ran away haha. He hadn't been in the team long at this stage.

When Reed scored for the first time. It was right in front of me and I'd told my mate when his face came up on the screen "Watch this new Ginger. He'll score, guaranteed"

Speaking of Cam Smith, him going to the sin-bin was quite a moment.

I remember Jack Reed scored a spectacular try against Melbourne one night. He beat multiple defenders, ran about 50 metres. He just wouldn't quit.

Milford v Souths in 2015. That near 100m try,

Milford v Knights in 2015. That big angled run and scored in the corner.

Hell, Milford’s entire 2015 season...

Just thought of another one!

Josh Hoffman scoring a hat-trick against Melbourne.

I can't remember the year and I don't think we won the game but not too many players can boast scoring three tries against the Melbourne Storm brick wall.

Reed's first season, he looked like he was going to be an attacking superstar. He had all the moves, the flick pass, the damaging runs etc. Dunno what happened afterwards, he just never had the same strike power. It's kind of the same with Gillett...they are both from Bribie Island I think, maybe that's how they breed them?

Reading a lot of this thread makes me sad - gees we were good in 2015.

Another few moments:

1. Not sure of the year (2016 maybe?). From the scrum, Milford beats Thurston and who is supporting him, Roberts. To win the game too!

2. The 2015 try from the kick-off where Blair sent it wide.

3. Oates with his Elgey cape.

4. ‘That’ Oates try, against Cronulla I think, where literally everything except the ball is out.

5. Also loved Teo destroying Matt Groat. Probably ended the poor blokes career, but boy it was savage to watch.

As I said, just a few. So, so many more though.

This isn't one moment but more a series of moments over the course of a game.

Round 24, 2009.

Just 2 games after suffering a 56-0 loss in Canberra, the Broncos went to WIN Stadium and put in one of the best defensive displays they produced in that decade.

The amount of times Broncos players swarmed in to drag a Dragons player back into the in-goal, it highlighted the grit, the determination and the attitude that the club built it's name on.

Round 4, 2013.

We ended up losing 32-26, but we should have won that game. The refs made some crucial mistakes that hurt our chances.

That game just highlighted how good of a winger Hoffman was. Too bad he was delusional.

Round 4, 2016. It didn't win us the game as the Cowboys ended up getting a very very soft penalty to level the scores and take the game to GP where Milford slotted the winning field goal, but we were losing at that point and there was only 5 minutes to go.

Milford delivered that night. He showed he can deliver in those pressure moments.
