I assume what kimlo is getting at is Melbourne are the benchmark and he wants people to compare the Broncos to them.

But as you say, after 1 round that's pretty pointless, especially given the Broncos thrashed a fairly woeful Penrith.

I understand it's round one, but I'm not really trying to compare on round 1 form. I just want people to say who they think is better including last years form, basically if you think this player is better than this player, not really based on round 1 this year cause you can't do that but based on how much you know every player who do you think is better, who is worth more value for their team. BTW, I'm pretty sure melbourne are going to have some salary cap issues next year lol.

It doesn't matter how good your team looks on paper.. Any team can beat the Storm if everything goes right for them.

I strongly disagree there, lol but at the same time I agree(more so disagree :P). You do make a very valid point but the thing with Melbourne is that their not necessarily big names but they have been performing consistently well above their weight for two years now and as such they are easily the team to beat. There not really the sort of side with all big names that turn up and do nothing week in week out (I won't say who I'm referring too, you guys would probably know).

1. That makes absolutely no sence

2. Melbourne has had one of the best teams in the comp over the past two years. What no names are you speaking of?

C.Smith
C.Cronk
G.Inglis
I.Falou
M.Crocker
D.Johnson
M.King
S.Turner

are hardly no name players.. I think you mean there forward pack is full of no names who have been coached well and play the game to a good plan.

Spot on and they execute game plans very well.

There defense has been the best i think in the past 2 years.

Actually they were all a bunch of no names pretty much besides a very select few at the start of 2006. they earned their names they were bought (most of them any way) b4 06 started they were pretty much no names, how many ppl represented the storm in 05 at aus level how many ppl represented the storm at aus test match at least about 5 more from the same team.

That's exactly the same for most teams!

Although, most of the players listed above weren't no names in 2006....
