Farah "Smith isn't better than me"

Honestly don't have a problem with it. He isn't going to come out and say "Yeah, Cam is just so much better than me..." He's a professional athlete, of course he's going to back himself. Not to mention, it makes it oh so amusing every time Smith is picked ahead of him for rep games and when Smith runs rings around him in the NRL.

If someone like Johns, Sterling etc came out and made the comments, it would be a different story.

Shut up Harry, we're ridiculing someone over here!

I don't think it's particularly smart to talk yourself up in the media in the first place but to admit you get offended or upset when you're reminded that you're not as good as the Test Captain is a bit much.

Sooks all the time. Even against the Raiders he made a big song and dance about copping an eye gouge.

So am I to be fair....

Farah is a great player no doubt but Smith is an all time great but not superior to Farah though.

I heard someone before Origin describe Robbie Farah as the Stuart MacGill of Rugby League - This is the best description of him I've ever seen

Sooooo you're saying that Farah is an all time great also? You're off your head.

There is no way in the world that Farah can even claim to be as good as Smith.

Robbie sounds like an arrogant prick for even claiming to be.

Pretty sure Broncoman didn't intend to write Farrah being better than Smith...I just think he forgot to read what he'd written before posting.

Either that or he's thinking of a different Cameron Smith...

Bman was confused and simply got caught up in the hysteria of NSW winning their first series in 9 yrs.

I actually have three friends named Cameron Smith. From what I remember Farah is at least better than 1 of them at rugby league.

You guys have got to lighten up on the kid. As somebody who specialises in late night caffeine induced waffle, Bman basically meant that Smith is an all-time great but his form isn't superior to Farah's at the moment which is a fair call.

Smith's form has been down a bit in 2014.

Farah has been a key proponent in the Tiger's surprisingly good 2014.

I've had this discussion at length before, I think Farah is a close second to
Smith but Smith has been outstanding for like 10 years straight and played in every dominant team of the last decade and that more or less places him as one of the best ever to play the game, Farah hasn't had that luxury and I don't think Ennis playing ahead of him was an indication of his bad form but stupid NSW selectors who were picking him because of the niggle which definitely backfired because Ennis got shown up, at that level you need to pick the best players, the whole "origin player" argument which got Ennis selected is rubbish, not many of the QLD players are what you'd classify as "nigglers" but just damn good players.

The Michael Beer of hookers seems more apt.

Can you please post the text from the link in QUOTE tags and not just the link?

The Lurker returns with his mid-week fill of rugby league rumours as he takes a look at some angry refs, a few betting suspensions and that infamous sex tape.
Ref Rage

Referees are fuming with the lack of support they are getting from the NRL this season. Matters came to a head in the recent case where Eels halfback Chris Sandow was sent to the sin bin for inferring that the men in pink were 'on the take'. The incident was referred to the NRL and the referees believed Sandow would be given a one or two match suspension. Instead, the NRL ruled that the sin binning was sufficient, sending a bad message to junior players throughout the game - and leaving the referees seething.

Word has also got back to the referees about meetings between clubs and the NRL. In the meetings, the club have complained about the standard of refereeing this season - which has been poor - and the NRL has done nothing to defend them. Rather than trying to get the message across that the refs will get better, NRL officials have thrown them under the bus, saying nothing they have said to the refs has improved matters.

No more bets

I wrote here a month ago that the betting scandal was set to erupt and expect findings to be released tomorrow. Manly winger David Williams and a Melbourne Storm player are among up to a dozen players allegedly involved. Suspensions of between two and six weeks are set to be handed out.

Farah’s Folly

New South Wales players are very tight after their Origin triumph, but a few were snickering quietly at Robbie Farah's comments last week that he is the equal of Cam Smith. Smith is the best hooker of his generation and while Farah is a super dummyhalf, his all-round game is well behind that of his arch rival. As much as the Blues admire Farah, they had a good laugh at his expense when they read his comments in the press in the lead-up to tonight's final game.

Hump Day Lurker

I'm told there has been a lot of good-natured finger pointing within both Origin teams over the identity of the player allegedly featured in the sex tape said to be doing the rounds. Your trusty correspondent has yet to view the footage but is happy to do so in the name of research if someone has a copy. And the reason the player hasn't been named? Defamation lawyers would have a field day unless there is cut and dried evidence.

Article is from the 9th July and is just some muppets' opinion on what he thinks he may have heard from someone. No quotes at all from anyone.
