To be fair both those articles are written by someone with a similar intellect to Tallis. I can see how anyone could very easily mistake him as the author.

He's certainly been a gigantic wanker of late, but I can't stay angry long at a bloke that did so much for the Broncos, and did this to a NSW'ker:

What? How dare Sam try to fend off a defender!

Take the week off and be ****ing grateful.

How dare Blair not succumb to the fend, relent and say please run passed me sir. If sam's arm wasn't hanging around like a tree branch it doesn't happen.

And I never said he should get off.

Notwithstanding that Gordon is always critical of the Broncos nowadays - I think he does have a point about Blair. He does cross the line frequently into what I would deem dirty play. That's why he has been suspended so much over the years. I'd rather we played hard and fair. We don't need to do the cheap stuff.

The chicken wing tackle on Thaiday was just ridiculous. He will become a liability soon if he doesn't think about what he is doing.

Tallis has just become one of those rent-a-quote old, outdated footballers who reporters call from time to time, like Blocker Roach or Roudonkis. He hates Bennett, and just lets that seep into anything he says. He talks about being disappointed that Blair wears a Broncos jersey, but I think you'd find most Broncos supporters are a bit more disappointed by him at this stage.

Gordon has a heap more runs on the board for the club than Blair. Let's not lose total perspective here.

Tallis has every right to bag Blair; It's dangerous and stupid what he did. As for the comparing fighting and not being happy with the ref to twisting a guy's arm out of the socket- please.

if Blair was at the Storm and ripping guys arms out of the socket I bet you wouldn't be saying it's cool. Tallis is wrong for being against it.

Great news about Macca. It's worth noting that in the Souths game Burgess started his cranky rampage after being hit slightly late from behind and dropped. It clearly hurt him but I can't remember if it was Blair that did it.

For mine, you're missing the point. He never misses a chance to rip into the Broncs these days when any other "legend" would be a bit more diplomatic. But anyway, everyone has a right to think anyone else is a tool. I used to love Gordy. Now I think he is a tool.

I don't see it as anti-Broncos. In the same press conference with Kevvie he spoke glowingly about Oates. I see it as anti guys getting their arms ripped off.

Gordy definitely has some hang ups with Brisbane, no doubt about that, but I don't mind Adam Blair copping some flak in this case.

In one the most lacklustre games of Rugby League you'll ever see he manages to put a pretty horrible looking chicken wing a teammate - WTH? Needs to pull his head in because he is too value to the team and too experienced to be missing games for this stuff.

couldnt agree more on this one.

I think the Tallis hate is a bit over the top around here to be honest. I don't know how you can hate a guy who played the way he did for the Broncos and QLD.

The tackle was a soft bloody move from Blair. That being said its BS that the media are bashing him up for hitting him in the back as the pass. 99% of the hits Blair pulls off are nowhere near late in real time. Thats the price a playmaker pays for taking the ball to the line. Games been going soft for a while in this regard. Fair enough Tallis calls him out on the chicken-wing - although should have limited it to that.

Anyone whose getting all precious over the article in the paper or Gordie being a Titans ambassador needs a bit of a reality check. Those 10 reasons weren't written by Gordie and the local paper having a bit a laugh... And can someone actually point out to me what in that article is so outrageous? The fact a club ambassador tells fans they should fire up behind their team and build some rivalry and atmosphere at the game? Good on him. I'd much rather we had a Cowboys like rivalry with the Titans well done Gordon for doing what he can for the only club in Queensland thats struggling!

Normally I wouldn't have the time of day for any turncoat, but it's his job... I don't have the shits at Bennet for rooting for Newcastle while he was on their payroll.

Tallis is wrong because he was a dirty prick too.

Did Bennett bag out the Broncos at every opportunity though? No.

SEA EAGLES V BRONCOS

Sat 14 May 2016 7:55PM, Suncorp Stadium

Sea Eagles: Trent Barrett’s men are set to be boosted by the inclusions of five key players — Dylan Walker (hip/ribs), Apisai Koroisau (ribs), Jake Trbojevic (ruled out for City), Brett Stewart (hamstring) and Jamie Buhrer (broken thumb). The likes ofBrayden Wiliame, Matthew Wright and Pita Godinet are on the chopping block.

Broncos: Hooker Andrew McCullogh (hamstring) made a shock appearance at training on Monday and is eyeing a return way ahead of schedule, although he’s more likely to return next week. Travis Waddell would make way. Brisbane have two spots to fill in the forwards. Adam Blair (suspension) is again out, while Alex Glenn (calf) will miss another week after being ruled out for the Kiwis. Sam Thaidayis expected to play on the edge in place of Glenn. Jarrod Wallace, Joe Ofahengaueor Herman Ese’ese could find themselves in the starting side for Blair. James Roberts (hip) and Anthony Milford (rested) will be named after sitting out last week.

THE NRMA Insurance Broncos will take the early guilty plea on Adam Blair’s dangerous contact charge today.

Blair was cited out of last Friday’s Test against Australia in a tackle involving teammate Sam Thaiday.

Despite Thaiday being unharmed from the tackle, the Broncos are not willing to risk a two-week suspension for the valuable Blair.

The Kiwi prop will only miss one week with the early guilty plea, while an unsuccessful defence at the judiciary risked another week.

The decision ensures Blair will be available for the Broncos’ crunch match with the North Queensland Cowboys in Townsville on May 20.
