Predict the Queensland 17

I'm not sure Guerra deserves selection either

I don't think the team is good at all. Lots of guys not going well for their clubs.

The boys always lift irrespective of club form. Example one Nate "Optimus Prime" Myles. He has always been the biggest transformer from club form to origin form.

There is a reason Meninga quit as Origin Coach at the end of last year. Could foresee the end and wanted to protect his legacy. I reckon NSW will win big this series.

If only they picked Lowe and Feldt...when will Locky and company learn?

They needed to introduce guys like Milford, Napa and Munster this series but they stupidly banned them and backed themselves into a corner.

They took them out to the Story Bridge Hotel drinking and then wondered why they wanted to kick on on a Saturday night. Seriously. Just young guys being young guys. The punishment was ridiculously over the top.

The worst thing about the punishments is that they were originally given to the guys who Walters didn't think he'd need this year (Munster and Holmes) but the media found out about Milford and co also being out so he was pressured into banning them also to look fair. Walters and QRL were not going to ban Milford originally and did not want to. This is how dumb it all was. Munster and Holmes were the scapegoats before it all got out of hand.

They were given orders by the coach, they broke those orders and furthermore one of their team mates got themselves in trouble with the police.

It's a team sport, if you can't look after one another out there when you're trialing for the team, what chance are you?

The bans were dumb because they were initially sneakily only applied to Munster and Holmes - who Walters did not think he'd need to play this year. The QRL and Walters moved like snails to ban Milford and Napa because despite also breaking curfew, they wanted to play them this year. The media pressured them into it. The fact that they did not want to ban Milford and Napa despite knowing they were out also shows how very dumb it was.

Munster didn't come clean until he left the camp. Initially he took the rap for it, but he told his club CEO the truth and that's when the bans were applied.

Munster and Holmes were as good a chance as any to make the side. They had a much easier passage way than Milf so I don't see that angle at all - seems like fiction.

I can understand the bans being considered too heavy-handed, but to place the blame squarely on Walters and absolve these players for doing the wrong thing is off-base.

It would be nice to have someone who isn't O'Neill or the struggling Gayguy in the back line.

Also Guerra shouldn't be there either, he's been terrible.

I also think the ban was way over the top ,but I think this team can certainly get the job done,.We will really have to aim up in the fowards though. Our or biggest threat will be penalties ..I would like to see less of Kevie on the tele though. Seems a bit indignified to me to have the Qld coach as an assistant sideline commentator.

Since someone mentioned penalties, Maloney not only has the most missed tackles in the NRL, but also the most penalties conceded. Hopefully there's something we can work with there.
