RUMOUR Dylan Napa

Clearly Bennett is cutting Darius loose and Benji will play FB. It's written in the stars.

You do realise this exact thing happened with Copley last year right? He was signed with Broncos, went on the America trip the Broncos organised, and then went to roosters.

Yeah, but that was before the whole Roberts signature forgery thing... Roberts fell in our lap and we snapped him up.
The Roosters would know his manager is in talks with us and if their is anything to this they would know if he is going or not...
If he's off to Dubai with the team I'd say he's staying at Bondi.

I would hate for them to trade out Glenn. He is a sensational player. Can play Second Row, Lock and in the Centres. Very very reliable player who was the Broncos Under 20s captain and has a lot of respect from the Broncos Players. I would be shocked if he was ever moved on. I still get the feeling that they may trade Hunt to para and have Nikorima in the squad this year. Who knows. I find it extremely unlikely that Benji would get a spot in the centres though. Kahu is very talented and should have the left centre spot, and with Mead, Pearson, Moga and Oates (if he is staying wing) surely 2 of those make up the wingers.

Alex Glenn has peaked. He'd be one of the first ones I let go if he was costing us too much.

Very one dimensional. The game has passed him by.

Thats the thing though. I don't think Glenn is ever going to cost us heaps of money. Every team needs a player like Glenn. Extremely reliable, can fill a few different positions, good leadership qualities and is a respected player by the club and fans. It also helps having a few kiwi boys around in a side that gets depleted by origin. You can't have a team thats got superstars in every single position. The time might come one day if Su'a, Ese, Arrow etc hit their potential and overtake him but that is a big MIGHT at this stage. I will be very disappointed if we ever lost Glenn, i can see him being a 1 club guy.

Glenn is criminally underrated. Consistently one of our better players over the course of a season.

always seen as excess baggage yet fills in when a second rower is out and no one blinks an eyelid. Not many teams could boast that off the bench at second row.

I don't think many people underestimate Glenn, he is a great mr fixit and works hard every week. But our second row is starting to look pretty healthy and if landing Napa meant loosing Lexi then I'd be ok with that.
I wouldnt like to see him go for any other reason.

Glenn is OK, he'll never be anything special. Good benchy player if he doesn't demand much money.

But I'd take Napa over him any day of the week. We need good experienced front rowers, and Napa is a gun and would hopefully fire our defence up too.

Glenn is solid as they come and a great asset to have, but he's definitely nothing flash. A bit like David Stagg.

I am told the Roosters have upped the ante in talks with prop Dylan Napa in a desperate bid to keep him on their books. It's well known that Brisbane coach Wayne Bennett wants hitman Napa to return to Queensland - and the big red head isn't against the idea.
But the Chooks are still well in the hunt and don't write off Newcastle's chances.
The Knights have cash and are keen on Napa, who comes off contract after next season.
After signing Kalyn Ponga, Napa's arrival would be another massive boost for a club on the re-build.

The above from The Lurker.

Yeah Napa either wants to come home or he doesn't. His manager is probably trying to up his price most likely though.

**** me dead, can we just sign the lad and be done with it? I JUST WANT A BIG RED!

Sydney Roosters prop Dylan Napa might want to start understanding how to play the game. And we're not talking about on the field.
Open to the notion of leaving the Roosters in 2018, Napa's management have fielded several inquiries from clubs, most notably from Brisbane and Newcastle.
However, the interest from the latter has been short-lived.
Why? Because unlike 18-year-old Kayln Ponga, who travelled down from Townsville, Napa couldn't be bothered driving two hours north to Newcastle for a meeting and tour of the club's facilities.
The Knights, who were preparing to make Napa a huge offer, have made an internal decision to sign only those player's willing to be part of the community.

Good news for us I guess lol

But with Newcastle now being as close to Brisbane as Logan, he might have understandably understood it to be further than it really is. Not to worry, the Cowboys are still fairly close to Brissy, they're in the same state after all.

All credibility left the story at that point...

That he isn't interested in Newcastle doesn't mean squat as to how he 'plays the game' with respect to contracts... What does that say about the other 300 plus NRL players? Do 'none' of them know how to play the game???

Perhaps he has already signed for 2018 and is just trying to sort out 2017? Who would know, besides him, his manager and his club/s?

Certainly not the 'lurker'... Took him weeks to cotton on to the rumour that Knights were even interested in Napa and now he 'knows' all?

F*ck all is about 'all' he knows...
