Broncos Confirm 2018 Trials

Sami looks a gun centre in the making, interesting he has been overlooked for that position for whoever Cooper is.

With the strength of our squad compared to there’s there could definitely be a big score line coming up.

RUGBY LEAGUE: The Brisbane Broncos push for the 2018 NRL premiership will begin in Toowoomba this Saturday.

Speaking to The Chronicle yesterday Broncos second rower Alex Glenn said the team has been working hard in the off-season and is now ready to test themselves against the Gold Coast Titans.

"We've been training since mid-November and you can really see how excited everyone is,” Glenn said.

"Everyone is really pumped up and looking forward to game.

"Training is great and all the boys having been working hard but now we just want to test ourselves - we want to get out there and play a game.

"I'm really excited. I can't wait to pull on the jersey so I can get out there and play some good footy.”

Glenn said the Broncos will use their trial game to test a number of new combinations as they look to push for the title this year.

"We've got a few combinations we'll be testing in Toowoomba and it's an opportunity for some of the young blokes to push their case,” Glenn said.

It will be actions and not words that will ultimately decide the fate of the Broncos this year though according to the New Zealand international.

"You have to be confident and we're always pushing for finals footy but we know that you have to be consistent for the whole season to be there at the end of it,” he said.

"You have to work hard every week and focus on being consistent.

"The good thing for us is there is a lot of competition in the side - there are a lot of young blokes coming through eager to earn their spot - I like that because it means you can't switch off.

"I can't slack off and take things easy.”

Glenn said Broncos and league fans should keep an eye on Matt Lodge.

"I'm really looking to forward to seeing what he can do. He's big, creative and ready to play.”

Lodge will end his 966-day NRL exile when he lines up for the Broncos on Saturday.

I really hope the stream is much better than last weeks.

Been quite some time since something made me feel like sticking my sack into a wasp nest to distract me from frustration. Last weeks stream had me close to doing it.

No Haas, just rested or injured?

lets hope the quality is seriously improved from the unwatchable mess that was last weeks attempt
