Everyone's said everything I'd want to say, amazing team effort tonight with some outstanding individual contributions also. Fifita as mentioned along with Ofahengaue, TPJ, and Lodge in the forwards.

Just quietly: Isaako with 14 points tonight now has 213 for the season, outright 1st in the NRL. I believe they mentioned on commentary that he's only the third ever Bronco to notch 200 in a season, behind Locky and De Vere. Well done son. Do we have the rookie of the year on our hands here as well?

What year's and were they premiership years?

All of the people saying the Napa tackle is an accident, Johns, Robinson etc.. It's amazing just how much they are missing the point.

One of my pet hates is hearing after an act of foul play that there was no intention in it, no malice. It. Does. Not. Fucking. Matter. In. The. Slightest.

There does not need to be any intent or malice for them to be punished for it. Never has been, never will be. There is nothing in the rules that says it HAS to be intentional.
Exactly right. "Intentional' is just one of the three categories.

If ever an incident is crying out to be referred straight to the judiciary it's this one. It's technically not intentional but absolutely deserves to be judged more harshly than your typical careless or reckless tackle.

There is no difference whether Napa KO's someone with his head or a conventional forearm. I believe both are accidental and he doesn't mean to take someone's head off but the fact is he has a problem with his tackling technique and has fucked up two people (maybe more) with his style.

The bloke is a fucking idiot and deserves to sit out for a while and work on his game so it doesn't happen again. Lots of other players pull off big hits but don't break people's jaws.

Napa is a fucking disgrace and I’m completely sick of him. I’m sick of him doing these dangerous fucking hits and as soon as he ***** then up the tears start to fucking flow. Stop fucking crying about it and just stop doing it you fucking wanker. If this loser never played another game if NRL the game won’t be better for it.

The Napa incident also highlights poor leadership from Trent Robinson.
You would think after the tackle on Sims that the coach might have had a word to Napa about his tackling technique, even to the point where they might have taken him aside to work on a few things so that he avoided leading with his head.

It just seems that Robinson has given him the green light to go out there and break someone elses jaw [emoji848]

If this is unintentional I’m not here.
Arms not in any position to tackle, leading with the head, accidental my arse.

Plus he leads in (which isn’t a problem) and up with his head and shoulder. That is a dangerous tackle.
At least James Graham and others hit while in an upright position when they have head clashes.

Fifita was immense but he’s only 18.

Hope we get him longer term but out of all these huge talented forwards we have high risk half or so won’t kick on to a great career for whatever reason. Great to have options but huge risk of massive second year season next year with so many young blokes. Fifita did a great job from the bench. Until he matured physically and mentally big ask for the kid to be immense in the starting side every week. Barring injuries or unless he absolutely demands it with form keep him on the bench, free up expectations and let him play. Next year rotate the young blokes based on form, fitness and fatigue to keep them fresh and building their careers.

Big game coach and big game captain andthe team is warming to the task, including the the halves, it's a credit to them how they have continued to develop despite the constant criticism from all quarters and the best is still yet to come.
We have had 2 big problems all year, the first is having the best right edge defender in the NRL missing all year and astute coaches have exploited it.
The second is having such a young team, with youth comes inconsistency.
Seems to me the wily old fox knew both problems could be overcome by the time the pointy end of the season came around.

The NRL has a big fucking problem on its hands.
The match review committee didn't address Napa when it had the chance, the CEO came out and said they got it wrong.
What will it take to rub this grub out, It was said on this forum when he took Simms out it was a question of time before he does serious damage to someone. Did anyone else here Sampson read his rap sheet out last night?
Reckless, give him 4 weeks, that might make his coach get off his arse.

Highlight of the night for me was Robinson saying at the half time interview saying " We will run over the top of them" LMFAO.

Foxsports have a story quoting Voss & Gasnier that Latrell shouldn't have been binned because he NEEDED to commit a professional foul because the ref missed a shepherd. Since when has anyone ever needed to commit a professional foul? DO these pea brains actually get paid to talk shit?

The reality is if we fail to beat Manly next week and the Warriors manage to leapfrog us into seventh spot we face a trip to Melbourne to play the storm the first week of the finals. As much as our young colts have improved I don't think they are quite ready to roll the wrestlers yet.

I don't think it works like that anymore.

It'll be fucking crazy if TPJ isn't our full term lock soon. Get him laying on on both edges, get him to work on his passing game and keep offloading, and he'll be everything Bird could be there and more, certainly more than McGuire too.

Well, I guess we still gotta re-sign him though.

He has a good passing game ??

Not anymore. Top four play each other and losers get second chance against winners of bottom four games.
