James Segeyaro signs with Broncos - Effective Immediately

Equal 7th best completion rate. Roosters 2nd worst.
You can sometimes use "statistics like a drunk uses lampposts—for support rather than illumination"...
Take out the games we’ve won and you’ll get a different story. We are talking about why we are losing afterall

I’m not using stats. I watch the games. Notice how many tries are scored after we make an error or give away a stupid penalty? It happens often. That’s 100% why we are losing

Then why have the roosters won so many..
Guess you're confusing causation and correlation

Easier draw, better players, opposition injuries, referee decisions, the same reasons any NRL team wins any week. You’re only looking at the stat and not how it may benefit or hinder a team. They defend the set after an error better, we don’t.

Ohhh, I LIKE your second line! Definitely going to be using that one. Thanks

What the hell? This is a reach if I’ve ever seen one. We are rarely dropping balls because of sting in the tackles haha

Not to mention when catching bombs, or dropping it cold over the line. Fucking McCullough.

Roosters have a poor completion rate but are killing it in possession %. They're not dropping balls on the first tackle like us, they're making errors when going for enterprising plays at the end of their sets.

Like I asked...
Where are these so called fumbles that lost us games

Surely you're joking. Have you been watching us play this year?

Round 1: 81% completion, 47% possession, we got within 10 points of the Storm.
Round 2: 82% completion, 51% possession, beat the Cowboys by 19.
Round 3: 70% completion, 47% possession, beaten by the Dragons (82% completion) by 1. Oates with 4 errors, team with 14.
Round 4: 62% completion, 41% possession, beaten by the Roosters (75% completion) by 32 points. Oates with 6 errors, Isaako with 4, back 5 = 13 errors between them.
Round 5: 70% completion, 53% possession, beaten by the Tigers (81% completion) by 6 points. 10 errors, lodge with 3 himself.
Round 6: 81% completion, 54% possession, beaten by Raiders (83% completion) by 4 points. 4 of 6 errors by the back 4. Should have won with these stats.
Round 7: 79% completion, 58% possession, smashed the Sharks (72% completion) by 23 points.
Round 8: 68% completion, 43% possession, beaten by Souths (79% completion) by 32 points. 4 errors by Oates.
Round 9: 85% completion, 51% possession, beat the Sea Eagles (73% completion) by 16 points.

I hope you an see a trend there. The Roosters may not have a high completion rate, but their possession % is 42% (l), 50% (w), 55% (w), 53% (w), 49% (w), 56% (w), 57% (w), 52% (w). They're not completing their sets, but they're getting far enough through their sets to at least get superior possession. Anyone who's watched us play would see we're dropping them cold, often unforced, at the start of sets and murdering our possession and field position. That's all down to errors. Not dummy-half running or passing.

Where are these phantom dropped balls you're saying is the main cause of why we are losing games?

Brisbane had had less than 50% ball four times in nine games. Most games will have about 35 sets each. If you're just giving them seven more sets than you you're going to lose.

It's also where you make the mistake, if you make it tackle one you're normally 10m out from your line. If you're making it tackle five you're 50m out. I bet the Roosters are making mistakes later in the set and then they're better at defending it anyway.

A lot of Broncos mistakes are made by the backs, who are normally early in the set for the first two after a kick. Drop the ball then you're defending your line.

I love him. The shit thing is I have a feeling Macca is going to walk straight back into the number 9 [emoji17]

I wouldn’t be so sure about that. Seibs game plan clearly centres around speedy dummy halves so I would be surprised if he waltzes back in.
