I don't think Roberts is ever going to be a player that puts in 110% week in week out.

He's always going to be a player that puts in less and gets by due to his speed and ability because there is always going to be a club that will sign him the first chance they get.

You just get players like that. Jarryd Hayne is a perfect example. All the talent you could ever possibly want but never had the attitude to go to that next level consistently.

We need to decide whether we want a player like that on our books. He'll most definitely come up with match-winning plays from time to time, but he's never going to have that drive to be the very best he can be consistently.

Not to many clubs knocking on his door atm

Let's say none of the origin players back up, the side still looks decent enough:

1. Boyd
2. Roberts
3. Staggs
4. Shibasaki
5. Isaako
6. Milford
7. Dearden
8. Lodge
9. Turpin
10. TPJ
11. Glenn
12. Su'A
13. Carrigan

14. Segeyaro
15. Flegler
16. Tagataese/Fensom
17. Bullemor (is he in the 30?) / Hopoate

Haas will back up unless he's injured. He's only coming off the bench in origin, probably will hardly raise a sweat. No need for your 16 or 17 I'd think. Offa's another who will likely back up. We should be good.

Goates as well.

The game's 4 days after origin, they should all back up apart from Matty G.

Relieved Milford wasn't picked. We might be a bit fucked if he gets injured.

If he is actively disrespecting the coach and the rumours some have posted here are true.....he has to either go or start kissing some major ass AND putting in at training.
Can we agree this is pure, not to mention malicious, speculation?

I usually stick up for Jimmy, but I think it's more than him just being unfit
Same
But based on what I've heard he was trying his guts out and putting in the effort first half, out of charter stuff.
Then second half couldn't keep up

His 2017 was pretty great all round... also his 2017 was the last time he wasn't injured.
Getting him back to his best requires that Achilles to be fixed.

2017
Games Played: 23
Tries: 16
Try Assists: 5
Tackles: 305 (13.2 pg)
Hitups: 264
Running Metres: 2972
Missed Tackles: 32 (1.39 pg)
Errors: 22
Penalties: 11

Roberts still had his moments of pure laziness that year.

It looks like he is just going to be one of those players. I don't think we're ever going to consistency from him.

Not exactly sure what point you are trying to make, but it is a rumour. Which is why I used that exact term in my post.

Unfit*
And you're right. He shouldn't be in the side until he's fit
You're welcome

you don't lose fitness in 2 weeks, so that says he me his attitude towards training both throughout the pre-season and the start to the season was pretty shit

Remember all the malicious "rumours" about Bennett, when the truth turned out to be his son was having seizures and sleeping in his office?

I'm happy to say we don't know what's going on and that Seibold has this.

No.

We are a discussion forum, we often discuss rumours and their ramifications if they are true. I even acknowledged in my post that it was a rumour. I don't see what's so hard to understand about this.

The last malicious rumour I can recall is that we were in the race for the wooden spoon, except that particular one wasn't posted as a rumour.

I don't pretend to know anything about what's going on with James, but as an excercise consider he might be dealing with some kind of mental health issues - say going off meds because he was feeling better - as one of the purely speculative guesses. I reckon we leave him be.

Don't even try. You're not that incoherent.

We know, as distinct from heard somewhere, he has some mental health issues. He's not playing so we have no reason to be dumping on him right now. Seibold has this.

Unfit means more than cardio vascular

Joe Ofahengaue charged with a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact after an incident involving Jazz Tevaga against the Warriors.

He won't miss any games with the early plea but will have 90 carryover points.

14. Segeyaro
15. Flegler
16. Tagataese/Fensom
17. Bullemor (is he in the 30?) / Hopoate

I don’t think neither Bullemor or Hopoate is in the top 30.

And I really don’t think we could still rely on Tagayaese or Fensom much, both of they ain’t in form and kinda semi-retired already. Although I do wonder if anyone know how’s Patrick mago?

My guess is:
1, Boyd
2, Kennar
3, Staggs
4, Shibasaki
5, Isaako
6, Milford
7, Dearden
8, Lodge
9, Turpin
10, Flegler
11, Glenn
12, Su’A
13, TPJ

14, Segeyaro
15, Carrigan
16, Mago ( Mago played very hard last season, I know we are full of talented forward, but he’d be a good backup based on his performance last season )
17, Fifita ( I don’t think Fifita will get more than 20 mins in Origin, so pretty safe to play him on the bench; Once Fifita on the field, play Su’A in the middle then, it’d be way more effective than play Fensom or Tagataese )
