What’s going wrong with us?

Someone mentioned earlier trying to get karmichael Hunt back for a year or 2, i'd be 100% down for that. I think he is the only person still playing that has ties to the premiership team (darius doesn't count because he is a literal potato). Sure it's been a while, but he was always a big talker and would definitely offer us something. Would be a nice redemption story too.

The way i see it, we must have a bit of cash spare for next year. I'd make a play for Hunt and Holmes. Holmes at fullback, Hunt at 5/8th / halfback. He has a good kicking game, strong passing game and enough experience and enough of a voice to help lead the team around.

What is KHunt doing these days anyway?

Been playing well for the warratahs from all reports. Only signed a 1 year deal so is free next year. Could probably get him for similar to James Roberts money.

Surely he would at least entertain the idea of coming back to the Broncos. He was always close with Justin Hodges and he is still involved in the club. I think he is a bit of what we need. A good leader, been around in the glory days and lockyer era. I think that really is what we need. More involvement around the club from people like Lockyer, Hodges, Hunt maybe even some left of field options like Tonie Carrol, Shaun Berrigan etc.

Is he any chance of making the wallabies squad?

Hunt is 32 - it makes no sense to bring him back - he's older the Boyd!

There is no one coming off contract in the NRL who is fit, and offers anything the team needs at the moment.

We're just going to have to suck it up for a couple of years, and wait for the young brigade to mature.

You know it's bad when people want Karmichael back here.
I don’t think so. Heck even post injury Yow Yeh (also another tragic story) has more pace than ‘old man’ Boyd at his “fittest”!

How about Josh Reynolds - playing reserve grade for Wests Tigers? Bit of mongrel. Bit o leadership. Bit of talk in the middle. Also Aiden Guerra playing play reserve grade. Experienced forward and Queenslander. Contracts mean nothing now ...

I would take him straight away. We need a new grub since McGuire's departure too.

Reynolds is defiantly not the worst idea I’ve heard read here yet. Would definitely fill a role and bring some talk and enthusiasm while our younger options mature.

He’d probably bring the best kicking game to this club since Darren Lockyer.

I don’t rate Josh Reynolds in any area except effort. His passing and game management is terrible. But a bit of passion might be exactly what we need.

1. Milf
6. Reynolds
7. Deardon
9. Turpin
13. Bird

14. Seggy.

It might be ugly footy but the enthusiasm will be there.

No way Reynolds has a better kicking game than Hunt, Prince, Taylor, Benji. I wouldn’t even rate it higher than Milford’s current form kicking, and it may even be on par or below Norman’s.

Yes it might be a little ugly (pending how deardon goes becoming an organising half), but looking at that spine and 13. It could/would be a quick team that could play at a high intensity that teams may struggle to match.

But isnt marshall finishing this year? You would think reynolds is back in their first grade next year

Hardest game to watch on the weekend was the Cowboys - wondering why we didn't even try for Drinkwater. He just stepped into that team and looked the goods straight away.

I think we all know why - Mr “I feel the fittest I’ve ever been”

First week back for Guerra after a long layoff. He'll be back in first grade in no time. As for Reynolds, there is a reason he is in reserve grade, he is washed up. He'd fit right in at the Broncos.
