If they're fit, select them like earlier in the season. Turps back to the bench until Macca's newly discovered form disappears if indeed it does. Boyd to centres for one game to decide whether it's worth keeping him in first grade.

This is not a dilemma. Send Boyd and Macca to Q cup where they’ve belonged all year and play both SOS and Deardon in the halves with Turps as 9 and Seggie on the bench.

Of course that won’t happen. We’ll still have Boyd stinking it up at 6 and Macca slowing us down as 9, so if we’re lucky Turps will be forced to the bench and SOS to half.

In a perfect world Boyd would be sent to the glue factory....

Sullivan and Dearden are both 7's tho. Controlling halves.

We still need a ball running 6.

A premiership force we are not, I would actually prefer us to be no chance of making the 8 so we could focus on fielding a team for a few games that is likely to take the park in round 1, 2020 instead of persisting with several players out of position and carrying dead wood.

I was willing to think that Siebs could be given at least 12 months to show his quality, but as the season has dragged on, my opinion of him just continues to drown. He needs to make some HARSH calls and a few games out from the end of the year is the best time to do it. Drop macca, darbs and even gillette (he's getting picked on reputation alone at this point when he isnt injured), throw in what we have, even if its new blood and just give them some time to learn. Give the c to Glenn. It literally cannot be any worse than the shit show this year has been.

Seibold inherited a shit squad, lets be honest. Judge him in 12-18 months time, when he can get his own squad together. If Wayne couldnt win a title with Boyd at 1 and Macca at 9 then how can Seibold?

Though I do agree that Seibold needs to make some harsh calls and drop a few players.

Wish Lockyer would say less about the broncos now. He should go down to training and mentor dearden instead of continually backing his mate Darius who is a terrible 5/8th to persist with at this point of the season.

I don't think he is backing him, that is the issue, I think a message is being sent in a subtle way to Boyd.

Milford will be the ball runner hopefully. Besides, Dearden is still super raw, I don't think he and SOS will clash yet.

Boyd has been around long enough and is a full grown man. Stop being subtle with him and tell him straight up his contribution this season has been very poor. He’s the captain and the teams performance is a reflection of his leadership.

I don't know how much you understand corporate governance, but as a director, it would be inappropriate for Lockyer to come out and do what you are saying in a public article, hence him doing it the way he is. As both a director of the club, and a media personality he has to tread a fine line in fulfilling both roles. We simply do not know what is being said to Boyd in private (if anything)?

Whatever is being said to Boyd hasn’t got him responding on the field. I think he and Macca are getting by on past reputations and training ethics.

I had no real idea where this season would go at the outset and never hung a premiership as the benchmark. The team getting better as the year went on though was something I was hopeful for.

If this year has taught us anything though, it has not improved at all, if anything, we are worse than R1 - possibly though a lot of injury, but there is no general improvement in skill or dicipline of the team. Their defence is still rubbish, they look like they have for years, getting by on ability, not finding that extra 1-2% in hunger/heart/grit.

If Siebold is confident of his 5 year contract, he should have sacked Darius outright. Instead all we have seen this year are forced changes or sheepish reactions when people don't play well.

I was honestly pissed off when we didnt get Bellyache because if anything, at least he would give them a fking bollocking when they were underperforming and this group appear to need to have the riot act read to them.

I respect the moving on of Kodi and Roberts, in fact I even agree with them. I think he went weak at the knees with Darius though.

He also has not reigned in our forwards with the silly penalties, that just basic discipline (flops, late hits, high shots etc.) Aggression is one thing, but it needs to be aggression with a bit of intelligence. Silly penalties lose you close games.

Kick-offs going dead - it should NEVER happen at NRL level yet its something the broncs are good for at least for 5 a season - not sure if someone has the stats on who do it the most? It certainly feels like we do.

1 out's against teams like the storm DO NOT WORK and play directly into their game plan. Bennett I get - he is a traditionalist, but Siebold, CMON MAN.

I just open these threads to read the McHunt satirical précis - always bang on!

Surely you can't believe the shit squad dribble.

Joking right? Last years ladder was so congested that it made us look much better than we were. Plus, WB is a specialist in making finals footy, but leading to the end game, he’s lost the plot.

No I’m not joking. To say we had a shit squad is just flat out stupid.

Definately wasn't a shit squad. Just how it was handled financially is probably the biggest issue.
