Team Lists

While I'm not a fan of the move, I am excited to see Perese in the NRL. I kept a close eye on him for the Reds and the way he was able to beat defenders with his combination of foot-work, speed and strength was phenomenal. He's one of those players I look at like a Cory Paix and an Ethan Bullemor who I think with a strong off-season could present Brisbane with a brighter tomorrow.

I'd prefer he'd start and I think the move is a half measure, but it's something to look forward to.

Get boyd out of fb! =moves boyd =drop him or you're piss weak

Nikorima isn't a hb! =moves knik out of hb but he has a tantrum and wants to leave, freeing up money we need to re-sign players ppl on here we are demanding the club don't lose = why would he release him, can't he forsee the 3 injuries we'd have in the halves

Milf isn't a controlling half and that's what we need, he needs to run more = moves him to fb so he runs more and doesn't need to worry about controlling the team = he's our best half, he just needs a controlling and experienced half to help him (offers no real world solution) what's he doing!

He needs to pick perese for his attack = picks him on the bench to use his attack but possibly hide him in defence = he needs to pick him or not pick him! Piss weak...

Ffs, have a listen to yourselves. You want changes, then you don't like how he does them. You want experience but you want rookies, you want players dropped but you don't want the rookies to be thrown in the deep end, you want things we don't have available... These changes aren't getting done 100% right, but ffs they are happening! Something that hasn't been happening for 4 years. Will they work, who knows! But at least some are actually happening. Blind frexdy can tell boyd and macca need to go but how do you drop your 2 most experienced players when they are also the most loved in the playing group, they refuse to believe they are playing bad, and we are winning. I think sos should and could have been picked this round.

I also think perese should take shibasakis spot completely and sos should have got picked this week BUT at least there are changes happening for once. If they work or not at least we won't die wondering like we have for 5 years.

It's obvious seibold wants macca and boyd gone. It's quite obviously our major problem, but I find it hilarious that the same ppl are bagging him for it after 20 games when the same coach that they say would have made better decisions kept picking them for about 100 games past their use by (this is not a new problem that seibold created).

If everybody on here wanted chocolate ice cream and seibold bought choc ship I swear people would complain. Changes are happening at least

Perese isn't in the top 30. He can't be selected in the run on.

Same situation as Staggs last season.

None of this is true.

There are no restrictions on development players, only players outside of that squad like Matt Burton.

Perese was signed to the main squad at the start of this year.

100 games ago is 2015. I don't want to turn this into Bennett vs. Seibold 5000, but Boyd only started struggling last year and changes were made around Darius. Boyd put all his focus into club football which saw him momentarily improve his form and when that wasn't good enough he was moved into the centres. Had the Broncos had the depth to make the move work, it may have lasted more than three games but as it was, Kahu had a shocker against Canterbury and the move was halted for the pre-season that never was.

My issue with this move is that it's another half measure that doesn't improve the team. I'm looking forward to watching Perese because I like what I've seen of him, but I don't think Seibs is doing him any favours.

Except Milford is still trying to control the team or at least is being told to do so. A fullback shouldn’t be at first receiver as much as he has been

seibs keeps finding new ways to **** up

He's only struggling because of the mess Wayne left him.

See, anyone can play this game.

Lol.

Playing this bloke off the bench seems like fucking madness going off all reports. #thanksbennett

Shouldn't you at least give it a chance? I'm sure you would if someone else did it. I seem to recall backs on the bench last season, did you say anything then?

Rhetorical question btw.

It could work. Depends on our gameplan. Dont really have a problem with Seibs trying something different.

I'm not buying this Wayne left us in a mess though mate tbh. He left a more than capable squad when he left.

Yep, one loss in six weeks is shameful...

not to mention that loss came at the hands of a team on track to finish the season with the lowest amount of L's in 24 years

When I look at our team list, especially the forwards, the lack of leadership and experience in key positions, especially the forwards, is striking, and it seems to me that maybe we under appreciate the value of Gillett and Glenn. They provide leadership aside from good defence on both edges and when things look bad they lead by example (mostly) and keep things together.

When the team is under the pump and what is needed on the edges is people playing for each other to keep the edge defence tight, we need the sort of leadership Glenn and Gillett provide.

For mine this side really suffers from their absence, and, more generally on the question of experience and leadership, others have observed how the Broncos lack resilience and tend to fall apart when under pressure, and as Seibold observed, our attack becomes frantic (because there is no organisation and leadership).

Pity Dariu$$$ and Macca are unable to lead.

You seem to be mistaking some people calling for these changes as everyone calling for these changes.

And ftr, choc chip is fucking shit, damn right I’d be blowing up

I like it.

For too long we’ve been ultra conservative and predictable. Regardless of how we got to where we are now, truth is we are also lacking dynamic halves at present.

This may just inject the punch we’ve been looking for.

It might fail too - but to death-ride it before giving it a chance takes a special kind of pessimist.

We all have different opinions but universally we agree that our results over the past few years are below expectations and change is needed.

And change is happening. Rejoice! Be happy! It may not be the change you wanted but at least the coach is trying something.

Let's not forget that a full time professional NRL coach, even a bog average one, knows more about the game than all of us put together.

It's fine for us to have our doubts and concerns of course but we also need to have some trust and patience in equal measure
