NEWS Why Broncos coach was the real winner this week

There was nothing wrong with what he said. He can be over the media spin and talking about little JD. He just said he would fire his assistant for what happened. Did you even see JD in the box, it was not just celebrating it was pathetic. Glad he ain't involved with the club anymore because just like Jet and Sua he is a dickhead grub.

“I’m over it,” said Seibold. “I coach because I love coaching I don’t want to be arguing back and forth and that sort of stuff.

“I know I had a crack back at the assistant coach at Souths yesterday but I thought I had a fair right to.
“I thought he was disrespectful to me and what I’ve tried to do.

“But I’m over it mate, OK? I loved my time at South Sydney I’m no longer there, I’m loving my time at the Broncos.

“I think we’re seeing some real traction with our group, everybody can see we are a better team than in the first eight rounds.

“I just want to coach, I don’t want to be in the media every week with everything I say. I don’t think its necessarily a good thing, but I can cop criticism off people.

“But you’ve got to have the runs on the boards to be able to do that, but if one of my coaches spoke out like that publicly then he wouldn't be one of my coaches anymore.”

There are his quotes. Not once, but twice after he said he was over it he still keeps going on. I'm not bothered what he says, and there isnt a lot wrong with it. At the same time, you cant go saying you are over it then have another pop, then again, say you are over it, say you dont want to be in the media for saying things, only to say more stuff in the media about the whole situation. Its really simple, if you are over it and dont want yourself in the media all the time, just shut up.

You really aren’t feeling Seibold hey?

Its the football i'm not feeling, he just happens to be the coach and its his responsibility. I was exactly the same under Henjak. Can't help feeling disappointed at how we are going, its not good enough.

I think JD is just pissed at seibold, apparently his pitch to the Broncos was how shit of a coach seibold is.
Not sure if they've had a run in before.

if that is his interview strategy, he'll stay an assistant coach forever

Probably shouldn’t have applied to coach the most scrutinised sporting team in the country then mate.

Donald Alec Trump Baldwin:

“Chris, I’m sick of the media and them making me look like an idiot.”

Chris:

“How?”

Donald Alec Trunp Baldwin:

“By taking all of the things I do and all of the things I say...and putting them on tv.”

You realize he is just explaining his reason for his reaction and his stance on the other. It was more then reasonable and fits the dialogue taking place. He didn't have a dig for the sake of it. I don't understand why anyone wants our coach to be a pushover. He should of just shut up then and he should shut up now? It's a crock of shit.

We as a club are copping it from all over the place externally. You would think at least the fans would rally and back the coach, when he is getting slammed by an assistant at another club. Seibs is a young coach and has a lot to learn but **** me I can't stand it when people don't back their own. It's like sitting down when your mates getting punched. There is not a coach in the game that would not have had a go back and if there is they shouldn't be coaching.

Doesnt matter what he was doing, he contradicted himself. I think he did have a dig after the game for the sake of it, he was trying to get in the final word. What he should have done was left it until after the game to have a pop at JD, and then not made comments about being in the media for things he said. He cant have it both ways.

I'm not going to blindly back a coach just because he is a Bronco. I want him to do well, i hope things turn around for him next year, i'm just very disappointed at our poor lack of game plan and lack of structure under him as well as results. I'm backing the bloke to do well, but i'm going to be critical when we arent.

Agree to disagree on the comments.

I wasn't saying to blindly back the guy, I wasn't even talking about on the field issues. I was clearly talking about something completely unrelated. Which is supporting our coach when other clubs bash him or our team.
I think your right to not be over the moon with this years performances. I too am not fully convinced by this years on the field play. It would be foolish to say that I am. But to be honest I haven't been convinced by any coach in close to a decade, not even Wayne apart from 15 and there are two many variables to claim that was just on Wayne. In saying this I feel there has been improvement over the year ,it's jus that its from player to player and not in a team aspect at this point.

What I am is optimistic on is our future, with the talent coming through and what I feel given a full off season this coach can do. I could be wrong.

Say what you will about Seibolds coaching and his team selections but his media engagements are first class imo.

So South's coaches celebrated their horrible display against the broncos, as if it were a finals Game. To me that shows they respect us or don't see themselves as grand final material as that display would not have gottenn them a win against Canberra, manly, Melbourne or Roosters. I will enjoy watching them get knocked out of the finals early. Plus if their disgusting grub right centre hadn't knocked Oates out, he would've scored over Cook and we would've won. Roberts should be spending the rest of the year on the bench and doing community service for an unprovoked act of violence on a prone player. What he did was a criminal act and if it happened out of the NRL he'd be in court for it. He still should be.

Also @broncosgoat I have agreed with a fair few of your more recent calls but if you think that article was satire, you're letting your agenda cloud your judgement. All good, you are entitled to do so but calling out others for not sharing your clearly biased opinion is just ridiculous. Have another read.

Maybe that’s why he’s not a head coach - real fucking classy. What sort of pompous asshole says that shit when his team is solely relying on freak individuals to score points.

Can't say i blame him for responding to JD's comments.

JD sounds like he has shit on the liver.

This is the NRL mang, every damn team is relying on freak individuals to get them over. Only fools like Gould be pretending otherwise. It just so happens that at this point in time it's our forwards providing it not our spine.

Maaaaaaan you be trolling son.

Trolling? No. I said last week he should have just kept quiet before the game. He didn’t and his comments look foolish now.
