NEWS Broncos back Anthony Seibold’s methods to end Brisbane title drought

agree the young players would benefit more from Siebs influence than Bennett's...WB is more about the here and now at this stage of his own career whereas Siebs first grade coaching career has just started.

I'm holding off making a call or not as to the ultimate success of this until we can see a fully fit squad with decisions about certain players careers with us done...

The PR machine is in overdrive lately. Hopefully everything will calm down after this round .... unless we play Souths in the finals if we get there.

It’s getting boring tbh

Would it be too much to ask of these new structures and standards to practice an attacking play or two? It is great to measure but there are plenty of traps also with a focus on metrics.

The two games I have watched live this year Brisbane have the most painfully boring and predictable attack, masked by some individual brilliance, often the young forwards!

The only thing I will say with our attack is it could be our dominance in the middle that makes it hard to setup correctly.

We usually take a "settler" as the setup play... and our best play the balls come off Haas who runs right through the guts and has us positioned pretty well on the goal post. To me that spot on the field makes it too condensed for a sweep play... too many bodies in the space and less distance for the defence to cover.

The big sweep we did against Panthers started about 15-20m left of the goal post (the tram lines as they call it). To me this is the prime location to start the sweep from as it stretches the defence out, but we're not stuck on the touchline.

If this is where we want to start from then my preferred setup is spreading left and hitting Fifi in some space to get a quick play the ball then sweeping all the way back to the right.

On the right we have Gillett or TPJ. Gillett needs to work on his ptb speed a bit though. He gets caught on his feet or worked onto his back, but he does run a good line

Maybe we should have waited to get o'Brian as coach, especially if we want to replicate the storm. He was with them for 11 years .
