I cannot believe they’ve given us Klein again.
Giphy 1

I prefer to think of Klein as indiscriminately incompetent and just ***** anyone over.

Cummins on the other hand ...

Agreed Klein is just horrendously bad at his job... you just hope you don't get him to remove the risk.

Cummins appears to be a home town ref, but he seemed to go quite well with Belinda

Which is why we’ll probably never get her again. Likewise for the Sutton brothers

Ferguson back, and that left edge will get a working over from Moses.
Having visions of Manu running over Boyd Ramien-style.

Maybe a little flutter on anytime try scorers of Fergo and Manu will ease the anger of seeing Boyd preserving his 800k prolonged footy career.

Edit: Unless our playing style drastically changes, or Fifita emulates hercules again...I'm seeing another loss coming.

When eels play their fast and power game, the broncos are absolutely powerless to stop them. If they score early, it’s gonna be ugly.

A potential concern with this match is parra's back three.

Brisbane's kick chase has been terrible all year (which is disappointing as it used to be amongst the best in the comp). The back three (particularly sivo and fergo) will be able to build up some steam before they reach defenders and will bend our line back and get quick play the balls. So they will either put us on the back foot or we will give away penalties.

Well, the assumption is that good coaching will have identified this shortcoming and addressed it. Let's see how good the coaching is and how the team responds.

So, to add to your comment: "So they will either put us on the back foot or we will give away penalties ... or we will be up in their face and smash them before they get traction with the ball". Yeah, right

Yes, that would be the case if we had a coach who would be able to get his team to follow a game plan or strategy.

Unfortunately, that does not appear to be the case as most of the problems we were experiencing in round 1 are ongoing and we appear aimlesson the field.

Remember when locky used to drive it deep into the corner and you’d have Hodges and yow yeh chasing hard to pin the opposition in the 10... fundamentals this squad doesn’t have yet

Even goes back further to the 1990s. Broncos used to be one of the only sides that remained onside for the long kick so that they could get up and put pressure on the back 3 and not wait the 10 metres.

I liked the broncos 1990s team because they played different to other teams. The spread the ball deep in their half, did short grubber and chases etc. It kept the otherside guessing. The nrl now is so pedestrian, the teams all play so similar, bar a few different set plays.

Oh ****, Shibasaki will be starting again won’t he
