If the Titans coaches are auditioning for a head coaching role down the line, they are doing a piss poor job of it.

I mean it is laughable, selecting Brimson on the bench, with Gordon ahead of him at fullback and Peachey ahead of him in the halves...

At least they have moved Arrow back to lock. Agree though, strange decision especially as Gordon is retiring and Brimson is undoubtedly their best fullback.

On a side note it's disappointing that they have left Don out this week, I was really looking forward to Bradman v Don on the wing!

I found it odd that the Gold Coast started the season with Gordon in the first place. I understand that Ash Taylor was injured, but even so they looked like they could have built something with Brimson at the back.

The selection that I find curious is Jesse Arthars on the wing. From all reports he's headed to Brisbane at the end of the year, so it doesn't make any sense to put any time into him when the season is over and they need to explore other options. They have Treymain Spry there who is a genuine prospect and while I haven't watched Tweed in recent weeks, he's somebody who deserves a look at heading into 2020.

A few weeks ago, the Cowboys/Bulldogs game was shaping up as an out and out dead rubber, but there's been a developing story coming out of Bankstown and they could be on the verge of one of the least likely finals placements since the Canberra Raiders in 2002.

I'm not sure what to read into this sudden change in form. We saw a similar run at the end of last year which suggested the Bulldogs were on the right track and maybe able to put a semi-decent side together for 2020.

Unfortunately the side by and large went backwards this year and they haven't really made that many changes going forward. It's just difficult seeing this as a genuine turning point for the club and it maybe another cruel false dawn for a club that's really struggled to put together any enterprising football since 2012.

With North Queensland, everyone was saying it couldn't get worse than 2018, than it did. 2019 has been a nightmare season, capped off by their captain suffering a stroke and being denied the farewell his career deserved. Paul Green faces the toughest challenge of his relatively young coaching career, and that's staying employed with the Cowboys after next season. If the Cowboys make a similar start as they did this year, that will be the end, with the lesson being for all aspiring coaches is to ensure the future pipeline is well looked after.

I'm curious to see if the Dogs can keep their season alive, or if the Cowboys will ignore recent form and lift for the final big game of the season before they brace themselves for Melbourne.

Let's hope the cowboys can deliver our first result and take the doggies out of finals contention.

So according to nine Josh Jackson has been the form forward of the comp in the last month ....WTF

mute goes on before kickoff , a new record for me

If I was the cowboys I’d shit can green this year. The bloke is a plodder. JT has kept the bloke employed for this long

And yet they made a gf from outside the top 4 without him

That was an anomaly. Every team fell over in front of them and Morgan went on a run of form that’s still getting him into rep sides despite being pus.

Why does every other team look so much more fluent in attack then us?

Because they have spine players playing in their ideal positions?

So.. is it just me or has Michael Morgan been one of the worst halves in the comp for the last few months?

Not while Darius is in the halves, but yeah he’s been average

So.. is it just me or has Michael Morgan been one of the worst halves in the comp for the last few months?
He certainly isnt firing but Green hasn't changed his attack at all since 2015. They just cycle through the same plays every game. Morgan needs to run more Imo to be effective.

The cowboys inability to find a halves partner for him is showing
That and he used to skate by under Thurston knowing everyone was always more interested in Thurston than him. Teams are just ganging up on him now
