Who do we lose?

8. Lodge - set and forget
10. Haas - looking like an immortal in the making
11. Fifita + 30 tackle breaks in 2 weeks.
12. Gillo - club legend and Australian back rower
13. Pangai - (plays better on the edge)
14. Flegler - Has been immense all year.
15. Carrigan - Was unbelievable starting tonight.
16. Glenn - Close to our best all year
17. Offa - Origin forward

I think Flegler or Offa will be one of our casualties in the next 12 months unfortunately. Personally I think we could have utilised TPJ's money and locked the rest of the pack up long term.

What are your thoughts?

Fifita, Lodge, Haas & any affordable combination of the others is who we should keep, it's almost irrelevant. As long as we have those 3 guys in our starting pack we're going to have a top 3 forward pack in the NRL.

Well ofahengaue just re-signed for four years I think so probably not him

Most of them are signed. A contract doesn't mean they will stay. We won't keep them all, we don't have the room.

Flegler, Fifita and Kennedy are off contract next year.
Gillett, Carrigan, TPJ, Lodge and Ofa are in 22.

We'll likely be losing a 2 or 3 of them in 22. Gillett probably for sure with retirement (if not sooner).
Probably 1 or 2 next year.

I have a feeling we'll have to pick one of Flegs and Carrigan.

As long as we keep Lodge, Fifita, Haas and TPJ (not in that order) I really don't care if we just stack the rest of the pack with journeymen plodders in the Macca calibre. Just don't be a liability, don't ask for much money and you can stay in the team.

In order of priority though
#1 Haas
#2 Fifita
#3 TPJ/Lodge - can't really decide

But Haas and Fifita must stay. Must.

of course we have room ... Besides Glenn and Gillett are in their 30s, they don't have long left anyway

TPJ is criminally underrated around here. He just needs to fix his discipline. He can turn entire games on his own and sets the pace for the rest of the team, his offloads are world class too.

A starting pack of

8. Lodge
10. Haas
11. Fifita
12.TPJ
13. Carrigan/Offa/whoever

Might be one if the best packs ever assembled.

IMO, the qld origin selection is bit off the track, Offa hasn’t impressed me a lot better than the other rookie bench forward, yet he made the origin.

I’m comfortable you saying Carrigan, Flegler, Kennedy are no worse options than Offa. But they are of course behind Haas, Fifita, TPJ, Lodge.

Lodge is a simple workhorse, he get decent good meters, but the way he attack the line is not hard or strong enough, you can always see him bending over with two arms in the front with low speed reaching the tacklers. Good thing is he cut some simple errors and stupid penalties.

Haas is brilliant, his small imperfections are his offload, a bit like what people expect from Tamalolo, they both have speed, skill, impact, so people want them bring their game to another level, offload! If haas can bring us a bit second stage play, he’s perfect.

TPJ strike me as an aggressive player which is kinda needed in this team, he and Fifita on the edge can bring any team headaches.

So far Fifita only shows his amazing solo show, when he can bring the left side together with his offload, and benefits left center and winger, then he’s beyond reach.

Gillet and Glenn are at their very late career, 2 season at tops, but no starter guaranteed, one club guy honors are deserved.

Carrigan, Offa, Flegler, Kennedy.
Interestingly, when Seibold signed Ken, everyone is like who the **** is he, now I’m glad Seibold made the decision, yes, he’s not a top priority signing, but I’m just glad he’s not in the south team.

Carrigan is probably arguably the smartest in the forward pack, really appreciate the way he’s playing, not just with his body but also his mind.

Offa doesn’t deserve Origin forward, that’s all I could say, he and Lodge used to be called our forward leader, now nobody mentions that anymore.

Flegler is a simple farm kid puts in hard work, if he and Kennedy doesn’t ask too much, I would sign them beyond next year, I’m not surprised if cowboys or titans approach them off season.

I think the Broncs will lose Flegler. I don’t want to but if someone needs to be sacrificed, it’s him. Obviously Gillett and Glenn have one-two years left at most, so hopefully that can result in not losing Flegs. I’d be happy if Gillett retired this year.

This should be the forward pack for next year:

8. Lodge
9. Turpin
10. Haas
11. Fifita
12. TPJ
13. Carrigan

15. Joffa
16. Flegler/Kennedy
17. Glenn

How I see it:
8. Lodge
9. Turpin
10. Haas
11. Fifita
12. TPJ
13. Min Wager or Close to it, doesn't matter.

That alone is the envy of the comp.

I'm ok to lose Flegler. He's our new Wallace. Always due for a stupid penalty under pressure several times a game.

ah....excuse me Mista........the greatest pack has the greatest number 9 Jake Turpin in it....

Please fix up this horrendous oversight and re-post....cheers...!:embarrased:

Carrigan and Fleggs should not command big money. It will be up to them. If they are happy they will stay. Fleggs from memory has already said he wants to stay with this forward pack because they see what can be.

Not everyone is a merc and as long as the club is fair and with the future retirements coming there is money to spread out. In honesty it comes down to what these young men want. Money now or glory and money later.
