CONGRATULATIONS: Broncos make the top Eight!

On another website I saw a “Congratulations Australia on retaining The Ashes” thread when England went 9 down. Couldn’t happen again right?

I’ll put a multi on us losing and the Tigers and Sharks drawing just to ensure that it doesn’t happen.

Thank me later

Turbo officially ruled out for the season now. Probably our best chance of doing a Bradbury is winning our game and finishing 7th and hoping Eels beat Manly by more than 11 to have a 6 vs 7 match up against a Turbo-less Manly

Or

We lose to Dogs, no draw in Tigers and Sharks and Manly winning or losing by less than 12 to the Eels and set up for a 5 vs 8 final against the Turbo-less Manly

If we make a prelim against Melb we should start him and just get him to take Cam Smith's head off in the 1st minute. He's gonna get suspended for something anyway, it may as well help us.

Anyone that hurts Smith will get a lifetime ban. So that’s why it has to be Boyd, Macca or gillet that does it. Or if segeyaro is leaving then maybe that can be he’s parting gift.

We have to remember that we lost like how many of the first few games? Who was put out of commission at the start of the year?

Haas.

He was a huge loss at that point in time.
If he hadn't have been suspended, maybe this year looks very different..

I still have a gripe about this, but probably not worth restarting that topic again lol

Here's a funny little tidbit for you all, ever since the weekends results, the Cows fans have been oddly docile over at LU. I wonder why that is X)

the bigger question is why you still visit the cesspool that is LU :P

I am split on seibold. In terms of roster decisions, he has made some significant decisions i.e. mcguire, kahu, su'a, roberts and niko

McGuire was gone before Siebold arrived, he had no say in that decision. That said I agree with letting every one of those players go, apart from maybe Kahu.

McGuire was a rat and where would you play him in the pack now? Su'a is a grub and wouldn't even be in the 17 now, Roberts is a culture killer and wouldn't put in the work and everybody was screaming for Nikorimas head last year.

I 100% agree with the Haas suspension earlier in the year. That's how you build culture within a group. There is no 1 player bigger or better than the game or the team. Everybody is equal and if he wasn't suspended, or Roberts was allowed to get away with being slack... how does affect the rest of the squad who then think it's ok?

Yeah i thought someone had said mcguire was gone before hand but wasnt sure.

I agree, i think seibs has really pushed professionalism by rewarding the hardworkers (i.e. staggs) and making people accountable (i.e. roberts).

What I find intriguing looking back now is 3 of the players we let go in 2019 have dismal ill discipline either on or off the field (Roberts, Su’a and McGuire) whilst the other 2 we let go wanted to play a particular position for their self interest rather than play where it would be for the betterment of the team (Nikorima and Kahu)

Not one of those players have improved at their new clubs. Most of them have either stagnated or gone backwards so I’d say we as a club have actually gotten something right this year. McGuire is probably the only one that has some sort of semblance of consistent form but his ill discipline on the field would have been counter productive just like TPJ sort of has been lately.

You'd be saying the same thing about McGuire if he had been punished properly. He's gone from a moderately bad grub with us to a complete and utter despicable grub with the cows. He never eyegouged anyone with us.

Kahu left to see regular first grade which was unlikely here ... Not to play a certain position
