Rugby League Internationals

Why don’t we use Isaako for all drop goal attempts?

Bit hard when he's on the wing, means we have to completely change our attacking line, and in the off chance the ball can't get to him or he gets rushed, the entire structure will be off because of it. Would be easier if he were Fullback, in fact I think he'd comfortably be our first choice field goal marksman if he was Fullback.

Jeez if I'm England I would be truly questioning Bennett's position right now.

Sadly, with the talent gap as big as it is, realistically Bennett is probably their best chance. I think the days of Great Britain being competitive away from home are long gone.

At least Bennett coached team generally turn up and compete, even if they don't win.

Didn’t three or four of them just play in a NRL GF this year? They also have the best non-rep retired hooker in the world and a few very decent halves to choose from.

The team he picked was pretty ordinary. I mean he had only one winger to pick from in the squad and played Austin on the wing. Needs to be held accountable for that rabble.

The gap between their best and worst players is huge though. Don't get me wrong, New Zealand aren't great at the moment either, but the overall quality of the GB squad isn't great. Play the matches back in the UK though and they likely win those games. They're just hopeless outside the UK and it's been that way for a long time.

Wayne Bennett flew Ash Handley from Leeds to PNG and then leaves him out of the 21-man squad.

He sent for Handley after Ryan Hall and Oliver Gildart picked up injuries. Jermaine McGillvary is the only fit winger in the squad and instead of using Ash Handley, Bennett is persisting with Blake Austin on the wing instead.

Unless Handley is injured or suddenly developed an injury, that really seems like a **** move.

I assume all flights will be paid for, he'll get to train with the squad and then watch from the sidelines on game day?

Sounds like a decent experience for a young winger to me either way.

Bennett should be able to do more with that Lions squad, I don't see him keeping the job.

This is the best squad they have had for as long as I have been alive, they have argubly the best Hooker in game this year and one of the best Second Rowers as well, at the very least they should of beaten NZ atleast once but I think they have a better side then the Kiwi's.

Where's that guy that has Bennet's dick in his mouth all the time saying how bad Seibold is lol? Bennett just coached the first losing team to PNG lol. How embarassing.

Daddy Wayne is a knob. He's fucking lost it. I'm glad that old piece of shit isn't in our club.

Absolute bust of a tour for the Lions. Mind you, it was 99% the English squad anyway. Made the whole exercise a bit pointless.

Surely Wayne gets the sack. That was pathetic, and he was at the forefront.

There’s more to life than international football. I’m sure he’ll tell the lads to get back to super league, get 4 year contracts with player options, and just do what’s best for their families.

Yeah it's just a game.

I bet this wouldn't have happened if they were vegan!

Seibold is bad though

At least he didn't coach a team of quality first graders and internationals to concede 28 points unanswered to a team where most of their players have no nrl experience. How embarassing.
