NFL 2019 Discussion

Niners-Chiefs is a hell of a mouthwatering Superbowl. I hope KC wins if only for Andy Reid's sake.

The Trump white house fast food spread means he'll be recreating the Mr Creosote scene from the meaning of life.

This has been a patient rebuild by John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan. Plus the other office staff involved i.e. Adam Peters, Martin Mayhew.

As a fan we can put the recent tumultuous years of Tomsula and Chip Kelly and the average general management of Baalke.

I initially thought the early years of Harbaugh looked like we were going to have some very successful in the years ahead, but then the power struggle occured whilst losing some very key players (ILB Boland retired after his first season) poor drafts and player management.
Problem players such as Aldon Smith really compounded those issues.

It really looks as though there's a belief and quality culture amongst everyone involved in the organisation.
KS and JL talk about this regularly, it's about them having trust in the players they have picked, but also the players doing it for one another and themselves.

This is actually the worst case scenario without New England in the mix.

Not keen on Greg Papa celebrating a Superbowl like he's been a life long fan after he cried on air when Al Davis died. Makes me super uneasy.

Not a fan of Jimmy G, either.

Gotta go for KC for Andy Reid, I never thought I would say that. :(

I’m going for KC just for Andy Reid’s sake. He is too great a coach to have never won a SB, also he has a fairly strong GB connection. Also, **** Jimmy G that guy is such a pretender. 8 throws or something ridiculous the entire game, that guy landed in the luckiest situation possible for an average QB.

Why throw the ball when the run game was strong, taking time off the clock?
Jimmy finished the regular season with stats of 69.1%, 3,978 yards, 8.4 ypat,
27 TD, 13INT and a rating of 102.

He has thrown the ball when needed in games.

Nearly half as many INT's as TD's... excellent.

Who cares if they run all game? If they have the RB's to do that effectively then it's a sound game plan. I'd want to keep Rodgers off the field as much as possible as well.

Jimmy can throw when he needs to. If he doesn't need to then why risk it?

I want Andy Reid to win.
But spare me the KC fans and the "Mahomes is the greatest qb to ever walk the fields of gold"
He may very well be one day, but come back to me after he's won 6. That said, I really like watching Mahomes play, I think he's unbelievable. He's prime P Manning and A Rodgers, something to behold.

I'm really like the Niners defence too, should be a good game.

I feel like I need to borrow Rob Lowe's hat.

Kyle Shanahan - blowing leads in the Superbowl since 2017....

Glorious.

Bosa should have kept playing dead.

Congrats to Andy Reid and the Chiefs.

I was enjoying it up until part way through the 4th qtr.
There were some shitty no calls on both sides, more so not in our favour, including no defensive holding on the massive 3rd and 14 play.
I thought during our next drive we just didn't quite get the playcalling right which put Mahomes back in the box seat.
Defensively we played well but fell off in the 4th.

All in all it sucked but we have a young team, like I touched on with a post earlier the rebuild by Lynch and Shanahan is showing returns.
