I've probably been one of the most patient people here with you, I've given you the benefit of the doubt with a lot of the opinions you've held and declared.

But at the risk of turning this personal... pull your fucking head in.
Just trying to be positive 👍🏽👏🏼🙌🏽

The try was an easy one but was also a nice reward for him during a pretty solid debut. Some great takes, solid runs. The kid played well.

That take when he got absolutely hammered by Wighton was the highlight for me. That was brilliant under pressure and he just got straight back up and kept going. He has so many weapons that once he realises how fast and strong he is, he will be the best winger in the comp. He is a few years away from that though.

This.

I didn't actually say anything negative and got smashed for it lol.

Anyway moving on.

Nah @broncsgoat has a point. If the kid had any style at all he would have turned around, palmed off Tupou and gone on a weaving cross field run through the chasing defence and put the ball down under the posts.
Precisely and he did none of those things. 5/10

Palm off Tupou and then get tackled before even reaching the line by the defenders coming across in cover.

If there is one critique I can give Coates on his try is that he needs to work on his put down dive. Those elite try scorers glide gracefully across the turf once the try is scored. He kind of skimmed and bounced a little. Maranta used to leave divots after his put downs.

To be fair, he hasn’t had much practice at it with his club side.

The one criticism I have of Capewell is almost every tackle died with him. Sami got no ball and there was no passing back inside. If he doesn’t have the highs like game 1 again, he may be a real hindrance.

But he had a great game which is all we can ask so cross that bridge if it comes

That's a pretty good point. I reckon (hope) he'd be forced to pass more with a strike weapon like Holmes on his outside though.
