I'm not disputing any of that, although some of it is your POV . Once again simply saying, Tom , at the end of the day, no matter how he arrived at that point was not offered a contract.
Except everything that happened to arrive to that point matters.

Again we've got Ayoub's perspective which is obviously emotive and skewed.

Of course. Including that Kevvie clearly decided that Tom wasn't the answer to our problem so no contract for you young man.
I believe that KW at that stage had decided to go in a different direction and was not prepared to roll the dice on Tom, certainly not at that price and fair enough.
As Ikin summed it up, Kevvie didn't believe that he could coach it into him and has decided to buy it in.

It's interesting that a month ago we couldn't see a quick way forward, now if Arey comes we have at least a top 8 side next year.

Hmmm, I'm not sure about that. All I know is it's impossible for anyone to choose between a contract and no contract. No offer at all means we are not interested. If we wanted to offer 300k we should have offered it and let him make a call.
I think the club has made the right choice regardless of Areys decision. Gamble has shown bucket loads more in his 2 games.

doesn't mean we weren't talking to him/ his manager.

we just couldn't agree to terms, so we never drew up a contract

soooooo, what you're saying is, he wasn't offered a contract

not at all.

contracts are the very last thing done. I highly doubt any contract is drawn up until the player has agreed to terms.

why would any organization go to the trouble of drafting a legal document until the terms have been agreed to.

So there was a conversation but no actual contract was offered.

Why do we care if a contract was offered, the Broncos knew he had a contract offered by the Cows, that Kev has stated they would not match or attempt to overtake. His footy and attitude didn't afford him that luxury.
You can bet the Broncos knew because it would have been the first thing out of the managers mouth at the start of negotiations with the us. Manager= "look Toms in demand, the Cowboys have offered us 400k a season and we are seriously considering that offer", Kev= "Okay, well good luck to you at the Cowboys Tom".

Lodge gets a week, Manu does 2 very similar challenges and nothing.

The ref is already being spoken to and his career is in doubt due to the fact he refereed to the rules last night but the fact it resulted in the Roosters being penalised fairly.

Commentary in the Souths Logan game just indicated that Milf isn't playing today, because of the short turnaround and Gamble getting suspended for a week... so it would seem Milf gets another reprieve

Should be good for the week after when he gets dropped and we win again.

What is Gamble's suspension for? Being held on to by the guy he tackled in order to milk a penalty? The ref should be the one with the week off for falling for it.

Nah an earlier crusher.

both were charged with grade 1 - careless high tackle.

yet Manu's had a base penalty of $1500, while Lodge's had a base penalty of 100 points.

how the **** can that be when they're the same charge

Can only think the previous charges have loaded up to a suspension instead of a fine

Lodge got a fine last week for a grade 1.

Is there something like after X amount of grade 1 fines they start bumping up to suspensions??

Thinking it may have come in a couple years back when McGuire had like 3 grade 1's for those facials and things he was doing, but he just kept getting fines for them.... think Surgess had a heap of grade 1 fines in a row as well
