Kaylee McKeown has withdrawn from the 200m individual medley to focus on her backstroke events, as well as her relay entries.

Concerns over her workload were the primary reason for the decision.

She was a favourite to win it. She’s tipped to win gold in her other events.

However with this Olympics teams are allowed to have more than 3 players over 23 provided those extra players were 23 in 2020. Because of the delay of the Olympics there are some players that are now 24. They don’t need an exemption to play.

Both goal scorers for the Olyroos last night weren’t actually meant to be in the Tokyo squad.

Tilio came in because of an injury to Najjarine and Wales was promoted from the train-on squad because the squad sizes were expanded.

While I was watching this thing, I realised, this is like that interpretive performance you've always wondered whether you should attend and then after watching it, realising why you've never attended one.

Pretty sure they did. I think they played Frog's theme too.
They also played music from the Nier games, which was a bit surprising cause they are very recent, but those games had 11/10 soundtracks so its fine.

The Nier music threw me as well, especially since it seemed like they were only playing exclusive songs.

I feel bad for not recognising the Tales of Zestiria track. I recently played through it as well so I recognised it but I don't think I expected the series to pop up that early.

Pretty cool representation all around - Monster Hunter, Ace Combat, Soul Calibur, Phantasy Star, Sonic...I thought the Russians may have come out to an SMT track.
