Fitting end to his tenure at Brisbane

Could not happen at a worse time for him, Brisbane have zero incentive to protect him and Souths have him on a 1 year deal that isn't worth a hell of a lot.

Well...I don't think anyone saw this coming. He has always seemed such a cleanskin and quiet, gentle type of bloke. I wonder what the actual facts are.
We saw a glimpse of angry Milford against the sharks I think? Where he shoved like 3 of their players

He always struck me as the kinda guy who said the right things to the media but at the same time if the persona he acted out in front of a microphone was the same persona he showed towards his mates.. he'd probably be one of the most boring people to have a drink with.

Based on that, I don't think the fans ever really got to see the real Anthony Milford, so it's hard to know what he is actually like.

Nothing good happens after midnight. Should've been on the last bus back to Forest Lake.

Three counts? Sounds like he went all super saiyan.

Was thinking something a bit more like this...

The Simpsons Dancing GIF

He could have been defending himself against a drunken fan.......it does happen from time to time.
Was he done for assault or domestic violence? When I hear DV I expect that he bashed his mrs. But his mrs posted happy stories yesterday on Instagram enjoying life at the beach

Sack him now then and give the 100K to someone else.

I think there's quite a bit of incentive for the Broncos to do so and help him.

Milford is not a popular name on this forum but people forget he's a very popular member of the squad and still has a lot of friends at the club. The Broncos need to be very careful about how they handle this. If they just throw him to the wolves or look for a way to use this to get out of paying the remainder of his contract, it could backfire on the Broncos badly and cause tension with the playing group.

It's easy to say, "well if they don't like it then they can leave the club", but when it's over half of the squad, that's not a very good attitude to have.

On the other hand, the Broncos protecting him could benefit them when it comes to player retention as well.

It's a delicate situation.

Not really. Just fufill your obligations unless the NRL says to do otherwise.

I know Kevvie loves him, but how many actual mates would he have left? Glenn is gone (from the playing group anyway), Oates would probably be one, but in general I wouldn't think his power base is that big anymore outside of the obligatory support from the other islander boys

Last person I would expect this from..
But Why would you be out at 2am on a Sunday when you got a wife and kids anyway time to grow up Milf.
With this and the pokies night before the finals makes you wonder abit how much it has been happening the last 4 years

Really?

Kid's means you have to pack in your life?

Me and the mrs hit the tiles and the kids spend time with their grand parents.

I would imagine it to be much harder to claim innocence of 3 counts of assult and 1 account of wilfull damage then just one measly count of assult. Punching one person could he defended but punching 3 and breaking shit is hard to explain.

If this were another club the script would already be written. Player sacked immediately and then signed by the roosters for 100k.

Given the direction out new overlords seem to he taking i would imagine a guilty finding on any charges would see his contract torn up and the money spent well elswhere. Given our recent history of "violence" aka Riki and Fleg then Payne last year the club will want to distance itself from this. I can hear the typewriters writing "broncos culture problem" artcles right now.

If found guilty I'd also suggest souths and JD will take the opportunity to show him the door. JD will want to take a strong stand early on and show what he's made of.

Prediction is Souths Tear up milfs contract and sign Tyrone Peachy instead.
