State of Origin 2022

I've seen something similar in the CM (comparing their improvements between last year and this year), but can find it again, so i'll do my own. comparison of the QLD wing Contenders, 2022 form (4 most likely candidates)

With Turbo out for the season, Staggs is right up there for a spot you'd think.
Definitely in there for game 1... Crichton left centre and then shoot out for right side... no doubt Lomax will start to get some media attention being a NSWRL golden boy

Hope Lomax gets in. He's a cat, he'll arc up and give away penalties.

The media will lap it up: lomax/Sergis nsw centre pairing... of looooove.

Geez Nanai is pushing hard for a spot
He is having an insane season and can't stop scoring tries, hard to believe he only just turned 19, with Fifita playing like crap I think he looks likely.

I don’t see how anyone gets over Kaufusi and Capewell and they definitely aren’t taking a 19 year old second rower who hasn’t played anywhere else in his career on the bench. You can have a bet that you reckon Slater is going to drop his former teammate and mate at second row. The same bloke who has held that spot since about 2017. Not going to happen. Yeah Kaufusi probably doesn’t deserve to be safe but I can’t see Slater gambling with Nanai in what really will be a must perform well series for Slater to have really any credibility as a coach. We have 1 injured player and 3 out of the 4 heavily pathwayed clubs to the maroons are sitting in the top 5. He has to perform well and the Maroons have to perform well in order to command this idea that he was the right decision let alone be respected as the Qld coach. Kaufusi has done it a million times. Do you really take that gamble for a flashy second rower who has a quarter of the skill and 1/8th of the workload of someone like Fifita who got chewed up and spat out in origin. The tough boys stand out in origin, especially in the forward pack. Not the beyond skillful ones. Kaufusi for mine probably won’t lose that spot and in now world can you convince me Nanai deserves a spot on the bench with his likely null impact when Arrow is probably already a better genuine second rower and has that spot covered. You also have blokes like Carrigan, Foegler, Mo, Cotter, Collins all vying for a bench spot. Nanai’s selection would be well premature for mine and would reek as desperation.

As much as they are Broncos, when Haas and Staggs run out in that vile, filthy blue shirt i hope they get smashed into oblivion.
Mate you barely like these 2 as broncos players not surprised at all you want them to do poorly

We lost last season so I expect some changes, that said I don't think he gets a starting spot and it will come down to if Billy wants a backrower on the bench which is 50/50, he is a big competitor for tries close to the line though so good option for a goal threat or the like.

Fifita isn't a competitor he is lazy as hell and despite his skill and ability I wouldn't compare him to other players.

This though suggests some changes are going to happen based on form not past.

Maybe you should go back over previous Origin posts and see what i've put there. I post nothing different about Haas and Staggs as i would any other NSW player. Dont really know what you are talking about. I never said a thing about them playing well or poorly, i just want Queensland players to smash the filthy cockroaches, Broncos or not. Cant stand any of them in Origin.
