I finally get to see Reyno in a Broncos jersey live.

Fuck Yeah Yes GIF

Buzz is tipping Raiders. It seems quite a few media people are tipping the Raiders.

Ugh, origin really screwing us once again. It's been a while. 3 players out and 2 backing up is brutal.

Let's hope for an Areyn masterclass to pull us over the line.

Well we are much more effected by origin (3 of our best players out), and the other 2 might be a bit sore. Gamble also out.

Canberra have been a bit on a role lately too 4 wins out of the last 5. And while they are lower on the ladder their draw seems to have been much tougher then ours so far (playing current top 8 teams).

They have won their last 3 games against us, but I feel we can ignore the last 3 years.

I think it will be tighter then people here expect. Hopefully the vets (Reynolds and Oates) have blinders to lead us to victory. Also our goodluck charm (TMM) is playing :)

The last time Raiders won against us at Suncorp was the final match of the regular season in 2010 where they knocked us out of finals contention winning 18-16. We had to beat Raiders by 15 to jump them into 8th and Lockyer was determined to play despite suffering from a rib injury. He had a fitness test in the lead-up to the game that he completed and he was all set to play until Henjak made the bombshell decision to rule him out. It pissed Lockyer off and I think that was the final nail in the coffin for Henjak.

We have played them 4 times since then and have won all 4. One of those being that Golden Point thriller in Round 24 2011 where Raiders came back from 24-0 down in the final 30 minutes to take the game to Golden Point which the Broncos ended up winning from a 35m field goal by Peter Wallace.

We beat them 30-6 in Round 7 2012. 26-18 in Round 14 2016. 17-16 Round 4 2017.

Some would say we're due a loss.

It`s like tossing a coin .
Previous results have no bearing on the outcome .

I cringe when I hear about club cultures and styles of play . Coaches and players move clubs so regularly that there is very little style about the way clubs play . Individuals might add some thing to a teams style . But if they leave where does it go then ? A new coach arrives . He has his own style .
And as rules change styles of play evolve too .

It`s like saying the Broncos always compete till the end . Well , under Siebold that wasn`t the case .

This cliche of they [insert club here ] always play well at [insert venue ] is a myth .

I dunno l, I reckon there have definitely been phases where certain clubs (I guess with a consistent coach) play better against others. Doesn't last forever, but definitely a thing. Probably down the the styles that different clubs play at and how that measures against others. Also when there's a rivalry teams also play different/step up.

I agree maybe within a 3 year period .
Trying to say it`s a club culture I don`t agree . Like the Warriors are a big team who like to throw the ball around . At different times yes . But at others no .

Clichés are a Rugby League staple .

You can't do that against a club like the "insert random club here"

What ? Does that mean the Rorters don't really buy any and every player they like, and follow the cap like every other club? Does that mean the Storm don't raid Queensland for their players and in actual fact have developed countless Victorian kids into the NRL over the last 20 years?

Does that also mean that the Tigers are not top 8 intolerant? Or that the Bulldogs are not a "family" club. Were they ever? It saddens me to learn that the league is not actually going well when Parra are going well or that the Broncos stockpile talent and should be winning the comp every season, or that they don't like Saturday night games (shit hope not tonight) . I'm just totally confused now.

Actually not that bad a move considering pereria and brenko lee have been defending beside each other all year in qld cup.

Their results (souths logan), particularly their points against, have been shocking though so worried and wondering whether that is any indication of their defensive performances or whether it is the rest of the team?
I’m saying that South’s have no second rowers of note and they also have an 18 year old who seems way off cup standard on their edge.

He's put up decent stats. But I wouldn't say he has been stupidily impressive.

Trai fuller is apparently putting up stupidly impressive stats this year, he used to be an under 20s bronco?

Speaking of the devil. Is this not him? I sent it to ‘roster discussions’ during the week but it had no interaction whatsoever.

I don't think that's him, is it faikikiu Manu?

I really don't know
Yeah I am clueless as well he is just the only bloke I could think of. Looks really familiar to me. Not Kiko though, Kiko is much more solid and has a very different skin tone than the mystery man.
