What a win! About as gritty as you can get. When Arey and Herbie went down I thought it was only time before the Raiders would run over the top of us but the belief in the team is huge atm. That got them through.

Going to be quite interesting to see what team is named on Tuesday! I'm betting they'll be some players most will have to google, lol

Also huge ups to Hetherington who jumped the fence and was taking selfies with everyone down at the Caxton St end.

A fair amount of defeatism in this thread. We just won seven in a row, have already won games without players like Reynolds and Haas, and someone is on here saying we won't win another game this year. Geez, 2019 through 2021 broke a lot of people...

I won't say we'll be fine. Obviously the ramifications of this game are going to hurt. But the resilience this team has already shown, the massive improvement that every player has demonstrated, the core of leadership that extends beyond any one player, that all says to me we're far from gone in 2022.

I loved Pereira's response about Cobbo here:

He seems like a top dude.

I want to give Hetherington, Flegler and TC Robati an extra nod.

Last night all three lifted their work rate and Kobe was again throwing himself into everything when he got on the field.
Some of TC's round the corner off-loads were sensational. One in particular led to Herbie's try. And big Flegs bent the line back every time he carted the ball forward. I think I'm right in saying he made no errors and was not penalised all night either.

It was a season defining win. That display of courage, guts and never say die attitude will be referred back to by the coaching staff during every stamina session. These boys have laid down a marker now. We'll have setbacks moving forward, but we have at long last, finally removed the stain that Siebold had left on this great club.

Did anyone see any celebrations in the sheds after the game? Or was it too sombre because of the injuries?
It's one that should have been loudly celebrated as the effort was outstanding.

When did Nick Cotric become Nick Chotric? Had a few on board watching the game but swear that's what they were calling him.

Maybe he is trying to be known as a Brit for the World Cup. Nicholas Chotrich the third.

We were a bit lucky with a strip on Flegler that popped straight into the arms of, I think it was, Riki? Pretty sure it was the right call but we were still lucky to be allowed to play on.

I'm loving this 'next man up' mentality.
In previous seasons we would have crumbled, I just hope we can be competitive against the storm despite our present injury toll.

Flegs sent a big reminder to Billy tonight to make sure he wasn't forgotten when it comes to an origin spot

I said earlier in the week watch for Flegler in this game .
Trained with the Qld team but didn`t play . All the benefits of and none of the fatigue . He was shredding the Raiders ruck late in the game . Also showed the ranga from the Raiders who was boss .

The injuries won't derail this season. Reynolds will play with a needle. Haas won't be out for long. Staggs and Capes will be back in and Lee and or Hoeter will do a job if required. Paix is a concern but with luck won't be out long. Herbs fucked. We will still be competitive all season long. Future is bright.

Speaking of Brenko .
He was a quiet achiever last night . I knew from his highlights he can set up a winger . That move he put on for JP`s try was classic centre play .

Same with Selwyn before the game. Indigenous kids flocked to him for photos and autographs and he did it all with a smile on his face. Was great to see.

I actually think this was the tackle that did the most damage to Reynolds. Was driven into the ground with shoulder up and under/into right side ribs.

It was actually a really good tackle, just problematic when it happens 30 seconds after a penalty is blown.
