People are clutching at straws trying to justify Souths decision to offload Reynolds.

The simple fact is, injury prone or not, they fucked up. Hodges was injury prone, did we offload him? No, because despite his injury history, his value was more than just what he does on the field. It's what he does off the field, as well. His leadership.

Souths forgot this. He was willing to take a pay cut to stay at Redfern, but they opted against that.

The prevailing batshit NSW fan theory is he wasn't injured, Freddy made him pretend to be injured so he could hook him to justify Chrichton on the bench, and he played along with it. Or something. I couldn't be arsed trying to make sense of it.

Not sure if it’s just being a little deflated post a rash of injuries or PTSD from previous Storm encounters, but my hopes are super low for this game.

Hope I’m wrong, but we’re due a loss and Storm always manage to give it to us no matter what.

If we are at least respectable against Melbourne and then Cowboys, even if we lose both then we should come into the home stretch of the season still firmly in top 8, within reach of the top 4 and with a pretty healthy squad (except for Herbie).

Considering how we went last year, that’s a monumental achievement, and should set us up to have a serious crack at the premiership next season.

A bit defeatist. Nobody here probably genuinely thinks we should win this but really both sides full strength I think that’s the case anyway. Good game to have injuries cause you aren’t losing a scalp you should have. I personally just want to give a good account for ourself and it might sound silly but if the boys rock up, with Roberts at 7 we can possibly give a real crack at a win.
