Proud of the boys we have come leaps and bounds especially for a Melbourne in Melbourne game. We can get these guys in the semis. Capewell, Carrigan, Walters and Oates were huge tonight.

Was it just me or the juice sized glass of whisky I was drinking but Turpin looked sharp out of dummy half?

Riki is just not cutting it the last 5 games.

Happy we were competitive, but fucking hell Capewell. Not challenging that absolute momentum killer when Riki was pulled off the play the ball. That absolutely killed us.

Welp, we achieved what we wanted. We made a contest of it at least.

Cobbo has had a very, very forgettable night in every facet, Riki is not far behind him, and our attack looked sooo much worse as soon as Turpin came on. What a surprise.

I tell you what, there must be a reckoning from the 15 other clubs over the shit Melbourne are allowed to get away with, because it has gone well beyond a joke. I couldn't give a shit about his record, Craig Bellamy as a head coach is one of the worst things to ever happen to Rugby League.

Don't mind the loss. We're pretty wrecked with injuries but still showed we can match it with one of the best teams.

Minus a few brainfarts, and I think that game goes to the 80th minute.

I struggle to enjoy games with officiating like this.
Ruins my whole night, and makes me hate the NRL.

Love this team regardless, and it is leaps and bounds better than the last few seasons.
Just one bloke to move on so we can use that money to secure Broncos for the future (TMM, Cobbo etc).

Pretty good effort considering how much strike was out. Herbie is really one of those players that you don’t really appreciate until he’s gone.

Riki was pretty poor. I think Robati has surpassed him.

Decent effort, a few players underperformed big time but if we had Arey, Paix, and Herbie we would have won imo. I hope Kev calls out the refereeing 'performance' in the presser.

Brave effort, but lacking a bit of class. I'd say Melbourne had more class about them than us, but I don't know if you can call what they have class. Base cunning, maybe? Punchable faces almost 1 through 17.

Martin did a bit of damage to his long-term fullback chances for mine. Some real shaky moments. Cobbo with a mixed night as well. Missed that spark and speed from Herbie, although Lee was alright.

Get Reynolds back in and we'll look a lot better.

Honestly how can we keep blaming the refs when we lose?

What's wrong with line speed and mongrel in defence? Storm and Panthers do it and look at them. They suffocate teams. When we have a passive defensive line, we're just leaving ourselves open to these situations.

I don’t understand why teams don’t just challenge. What’s the point of having one left after the game? In the context of the game, they 100% should have challenged even if it’s to slow down momentum and catch a breather.

Multiple tries off forward passes.
The Munster catch and then step over the dead ball line. Not called, not overturned.
Riki pulled off the ball when playing it. Called against us, should have been a penalty.
Hughes and Munster hanging onto the ball for bloody ages and not letting us play it, no six again - multiple occasions.
Not checking Melbourne's first try properly - was a knock on at first look.
Etc.

We should expect a few things going against us, but that was a travesty.

Losing is one thing but being rooted in the arse with very x 100 questionable decisions/penalties and you wonder why NRL has not grown unlike the AFL or other legally officiated sports!
