How was this play, the run around between Mahoney and Paulo, that lead to the Blake try, not an obstruction. Sure it was a run around play, but if this was a second man play, he catches it on the inside shoulder and runs behind his player. Didn't make any difference to the result in the end, but just weird how none of the commentators seemed to pick this up, and was praising the Eels for the play.

I’m glad you posted this exact highlight because I was too lazy to do it, but look at the lack of enthusiasm from Tesi to get across and cover that. He did the Isaako jog across and then put no extra effort in to attempt a cover tackle. No excuses, we’ve all seen how quick he is - he is barely at half pace here.

One thing to jog to try not overrun the play but once the ball has gotten past the posts he should’ve turned the jets on. I don’t know if it’s footy IQ or a laziness toward the 1%ers but he does this week in week out.

I have no issues if he gets over there and outs in a bad attempt or gets steamrolled but at least try and get there!!

Despite arguments with @Big Del I don't mind Tesi he is such an attacking threat but I have massive doubts on his professionalism, Like if we are in a grand final and had to choose between Martin and Niu it seems a straight forward answer towards Martin, he has the composure and you can trust him to perform when at the highest level against the strongest teams, I feel like Niu still needs to work on his game big time defensively, and from a team culture perspective Martin represents the new hard working broncos alot better.

Yeah Tesi’s attack has really improved and he has got a lot of errors out of his game. He even looks somewhat safer under the highball - especially compared to Walsh but it’s really just this last aspect of his game that kills me and it’s a pretty vital one for a fullback.

Fittler and the rest of the Nein panel didn’t give us much credit in their recap just now

Basically said Parra tried but were unlucky, particularly with amount of possession they coughed up.

They give Reynolds a lot of general praise in reference, but it was very subdued. Said the obstruction try should’ve been given too 🙄

.....Oates has a LONG way to go to beat the GOAT of Brisbane try celebrations...

This is the gold standard gentleman..."the Gazelle"!

Needed that to go a bit further to see Wayne on the touch line

Yeah, spent plenty of time talking about where the Eels go from here and nothing about the team that were the wooden spooners two years ago that are now in the top 4.
