Did anyone else see Lodge get tackled & move off the mark 5m to play the ball?
Suaallii was even more effective at this. The Broncos would tackle him and then he'd bounce along the ground, lunge forward and twist to completely take the markers out of play and give the next player up a huge lay-up. There was one ruck early in the game where he went so far overboard the referee actually made him go back, of course he still pinched an extra 3 or so metres from the initial tackle.

There were a lot of little plays they were doing. I lost track of the amount of leg pulls and ankle twists etc. they employed. No surprise JWH was in the thick of that, especially the ankle twisting part.

It was soooo hard to listen to Fitlers commentary last night....
The whole presentation was awful last night. There were at least three errors/penalties we missed because we had to get a close up of a player every single play.

I'd dare say the Fox commentary was worse. I wouldn't be surprised if Ennis could still get a run in the NRL, he did not draw a breath the entire night. If he wasn't going over the top gushing about the Roosters he was laying the boot in the Broncos.

Does Ennis have bad feelings towards the Broncos because they didn't try hard to re-sign him after 2008 (which in hindsight ended up being a pretty bad move as they didn't want to keep him because Andrew McCullough was coming through)?

I don't think Ennis was ever going to stick around in Brisbane. He signed with the club to train under Bennett after St George had to squeeze him and Lance Thompson out of their club. With Bennett on the outer, Ennis was always a fair chance of leaving.

I know Tesi is getting plenty of stick and some of it is well warranted, but Kotoni's game wasnt really any better and i think Tesi has taken some of the attention away from his bang average display. He really is becoming a one trick pony and really needs to develop other areas of his game

Freddie makes up his own words, his favourite is “mate-ur-ly” and he uses it religiously, I’m not sure what he thinks it is supposed to mean. He’s been saying if for at least 15 years, I would have thought someone would have told him it’s not a word, particularly since he’s quoted so often.
I've always wondered WTF he's saying with that word.

I've only seen Suaalii a couple of times but he has knob written all over him. For a 19 yo that has just come into first grade to carry on in tackles like he does is just plain fucked. Will be another young smart arse to benefit from the no punch rule.

Totally agree. Staggs is a massive worry for me. He has no idea what he's doing out there sometimes. As soon as you have more than two players running at him, his eyes start rolling back in his head and he runs around in circles. His read in defence is abysmal sometimes.

lol can you use it in a sentence ? I’ve never noticed

I wish our young players had that level of intelligence for niggle and gamesmanship. Suaalli is an amazing player who is mature beyond his year or experience.

I feel like he's trying to say most probably or most likely, just gets lazy on his words and it ends up like something you'd hear closer to midnight at the Caxton

Yep, he is next level talent wise and is not even close to reaching his prime. There is talk that he'll be part of the WC squad. I certainly wouldn't be protesting as he'll be a regular rep player for the next ten years.

Suaalii looks pretty dangerous to me. Doesn't hesitate from the early tough carries & makes metres everytime.

I've said it before and I'll say it again Palasia is totally overrated and Robati needs to take his place in the 17 or Gamble is my other choice. Kennedy played pretty good and I am happy for him to stay on the bench.

Didn’t Robati break his arm?
