Anyone else really fucken pissed at this from the NRL?

This bloke gets suspended, but free to play in finals, will serve suspension in 2023. V'landys reasoning: "it's for the fans".

What an absolute gee up. What about Broncos fans?

Remember when Kotoni stuffed up while injured and they postponed his suspension until he was fit again so the suspension would have more impact on club and player?

What about Payne sitting out multiple games to start the past few seasons?

I'm sick of the double standards.

It's all for the "fans"

The fans:

Remember when we got players suspended for bringing the game into disrepute, what do you call this?

It basically makes everyone question the fairness of the sporting competition.

I revert to James Graham's comments on the lengthy suspensions handed out that ruined magic round last year: 'Who are we catering for?'

So we wipe out players for the lightest of touches on heads of other players who fall into / duck into / dive tackles so it ends up slightly tapping the head or not even at all but you assault AND GET CONVICTED for doing something like that to a member of the public, nah we're all good here, serve that suspension later when it doesn't matter ummk? The fans will love it, honest. The fan polls we don't and have never conducted tell us this. Now, where's Andrew....Andrew???? I need some stats that no one can crosscheck, where are you mate?

The incident should either be worth a suspension or not by the nrl. I can accept that suspensions are usually not consistent at all, but what they have done in this case is a complete farce. They have deemed it suspension worthy but not enough to actually impact penrith or the player.

V'landy's and co. Need to present themselves to the nrl integrity unit because they clearly have none.

In case you missed it, Annesley is patting the NRL on the back for the crackdown that started then saying it changed player behaviour on the field and reduced the number of charges and games missed due to suspension.

How’s v’landys reasoning lol, that’s like saying “I didn’t want to put a criminal behind bars” because it’s unfair too his family…. What an absolutely fucking ridiculous excuse!

surely more fans south of the boarder have stopped drinking the Kool-aid.

I think we would struggle to find any league fan who was expecting the NRL to suspend a suspension until a later date due to finals.
Them backdated cronulla suspensions though...
I agree. If it was flegler he would be gone for 6 games including finals
Lol, bullshit. They'd postpone his suspension until the next time the broncos MAKE the finals. He can serve it then.

come on mate, you know they'd do both.

they'd suspend him for 6 weeks now ... then next finals series, claim he wasn't actually suspended, just not selected by us (thus not actually serving his suspension), so he has to serve the suspension during the final series
