My love for Shaun lane started as a joke, but he is definitely a quality player. Dylan brown has spoken about how much Shaun lane helped in browns debut year, with his solid defence etc. Lane can run a really good line as well, and he can be very hard to stop. He is an underrated player.

I always had a lot of time for Shaun Lane.

The criticism for most of his career was fair, he was lazy and often went missing in games. But BA has seemed to get him to pull his finger out at Parra and he's reaping the rewards.

I remember a guy I used to talk to all the time about footy, he was a massive Eels fan. Was there in the '09 GF and you could see him in one of the photos.

I hope he enjoyed that one. Eels are a genuine chance this year. They've beaten Penrith twice already.
