I would have thought Reynolds would have at least got a nomination for captain of the year ... but I suppose he no longer plays for a Sydney darling club.

Sucks that BHunt didn't get it, but Hynes had an absolutely killer year too, and Sharks finished 2nd largely thanks to him.

How the hell is Suaalii in that team. He only had a good half year compared to Oatesy.

did you happen to notice who Suaalii has in his corner.

Tedesco also got nominated for captain of the year' and Robinson for coach of the year (likely due to the jersey they represent)

This. Was kind of boggled by a few of the selections but this one is a real head scratcher.

Payne Haas is another head scratcher as well.
Maybe those ahead of him copped a suspension somewhere along the season,or they are SOL playing in sides where the halves are gifted the points like JFH and the panthers

Talk about a Roosters love-in across both comps

How Sergis keeps getting picked is a joke. Having to shoehorn Chapman in on the wing when she only played one game there and didn't come good til she was at centre.

Chapman and Ciesiolka are better than Sergis but we all know who'll get picked with Kelly in the centres for the Jillaroos 🙄

Also, just to add Tarryn won both tackle and try of the year:

I don't think Nicho was even the best halfback in the comp.

Payne Haas is another head scratcher as well.

Seems to me like he won it by default because of the NRL's policy that players suspended for two or more matches are ineligible.

Also too much weight on his stats. Easier to get points when you're putting up good stats while the team is playing poorly.

Yep the Suaalii selection is a joke.
Too many people blowing wind up his arse and the NRL are shit scared he will go to yawnion.
I see he has talent but not the next level talent some are raving about.
There is a chance IMO that he is another best/ biggest junior who levels out to being just a player against men.

How did Jaime Chapman get bumped to the wing for the womens team of the year..
