FOOTBALL English Premier League 23/24 Discussion

Yeah the refs have the power to do something about it. But as long as people make excuses for that kind of behaviour, it'll never happen because they don't want to put the fans offside if you'll pardon the pun.

Same as the Klopp incident against City. Shocking behaviour towards an official, that I can't think of any other sport that would tolerate it. But all football fans want to talk about is how he was right to do it, it was a terrible decision by the linesman etc. Anyone that excuses those kind of actions are part of the problem as far as I'm concerned.

Dont disagree, but the refs have to use the powers they have, they cant complain about things when they have the ability to stamp it out. I dont really think they are bothered about what the fans think tbh.

what a dreadful game pool v chelsea was.

it reminded me of two over the hill boxers, washed and way past their prime, trading insignificant blows and hoping one of them connects.

gakpo was gakpoo.

The goalkeeper is 110% sprinting out and kicking that into the next town if Rashford isn't in the vicinity, keeper wouldn't have known he was offside.

Probably.

He doesn't touch the ball, so it comes down to one simple question. Does he stop the defence from being able to challenge for the ball? What a lot of people also forgot when the offside rule was changed is the physical component required when stopping the defence from being able to challenge for the ball. Considering not a single one of them even make any attempt to challenge for the ball...

Footage is pretty clear.

PGMOL say GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLL!

Lol at Man U.

It was bound to happen.

The Man City game would have been draining, emotionally and physically. Hard to back up and still be at your best after that.

Plus that free kick was a freakish effort.

Losing Casemiro for Arsenal is a big loss. We beat Arsenal without him last time, but over the course of the past couple of months, he's become a rock in our midfield and has brought a lot of energy among the playing group so it's likely going to have a different impact this time around.

We also won't have Ronaldo this time around. Arsenal totally got roped in by his loss of speed and completely forgot about Rashford's speed on the wing and they paid the price for it.

Yes, the goalkeeper is expecting him to kick that ball and given he’s in an offside position it shouldn’t be something that the keeper needs to be worrying about, it clearly influenced how he played the situation.

I think if it were any other team you’d be agreeing that goal shouldn’t have stood.

Big game today! I look forward to reading your commentary about Arsenal's 4-0 win when I wake up 😉

Oh watching that camera angle, that is just beautiful.

Clear the ball Varane.

Jesus.

Wan-Bissaka is the new Maguire.

He did that last week, as well. He doesn't stay on his man and he gets a free header right in front of goal.

Fair shot from McTominay.

Just get it in goal next time, yeah?

Ferguson looks like he's been spending a fair amount of time at the all you can eat buffet.

Shit pass Antony.

Rashford had a lot of space there.

Who was that going to, Bruno?

Weghorst hasn't been that good so far.

That was a pretty good first half. There's a bit of feeling in this one.

If Wan-Bissaka didn't fall asleep, United would be going into the break 1-0 up. He's been shit.

Expecting Arsenal to finish strong in this second half and come away with the win.

Would be happy with a draw.

For ***** sake, Ten Hag take Wan-Bissaka off.

**** him off now.
