Exactly my thoughts.

Easy to say the Pat call was wrong when you win the game off the back of it.

Also his whole game plan was to do exactly what they did, and as usual they got away with it.

Him saying shit like that annoys me even more.

Yep. Bellamy can spare me his disingenuous face saving sympathy bullshit. Do not tell me NAS staying down and grabbing at his ankle like that wasn't a trained move to milk a penalty and a bin as soon as he felt Carrigan sliding down his legs. It's exactly the sort of low brow dirty shit that has made everyone hate Bellamy's Storm in the first place.

3 things that I still baffled with

1. Remis Smith stunt that resulted in Herbies binning. Herbie hardly touched the clown but the clown faked & fell to ground
2. Similarly, the animal NAS followed suit against the spirit of the game & faked discomfort for Patty’s alleged hip drop. Again, Patty was binned. Did anyone in the commentary cared to comment about the grub NAS fowl play?
3. Walsh’s strip on Walbrick. Couple of camera angles showed when both Walsh & Mam tackled, the guy lost ball only for Walsh to run away to score the try. It’s a loose carry by the guy due to Mam & Walsh’s contact. But, it wasn’t looked at instead a penalty awarded to the grubs.

the list goes on with no end really.

The grubs time is up & I don’t see those ***** winning many games now. We will smash them next @ Suncorp surely.

No attempt to slide down the legs, arms wrapped around upper body... clear movement to apply his body weight to the back of Cobbo's legs in order to bring him to ground.

THE DIFFERENCE
- Cobbo doesn't lie down for the bunker to check it

Atleast the crooks have some sanity.

So if there is no charge from the MRC will the bunker official be reprimanded ???

They're only meant to interfere if they believe foul play would result in a charge from the MRC... given how trigger happy the MRC are with hip drops and this one didn't even get a grade 1...

Why does the bunker official not know what a hip drop looks like to also know what possible grading they might get.... because that's their only ability to interfere and get involved in the play

Watching the Farnworth sin-bin, everyone here agrees it was a blatant dive and it's the Storm player that initiates the contact. It was a Feldt-level dive. Both sin bins were a farce, yet the blatant push in Herbie's back was a "contentious" call, and even then we got the least reward (penalty try instead of them being down a player for 10).
I had the commentary on mute, but I can't see how the push in the back is contentious... it's been that way since round 1 when Flannigan dared to touch Turbo in the back that saw him flop into a near self-inflicted trip to the hospital ... Flannigan was sent to the bin.

It's happened numerous times since... if the commentators are pretending like it's not precedent and playing dumb that it wasn't a professional foul then they should be called out as 'experts' that don't know basic rules

The loss, especially against storm, really does hurt a lot. But .. I would much rather be on a losing, but honorable Broncos side .. then playing and winning like a pack of grubby cheats .. as the storm did.

NAS is an absolute disgrace to our game. And shame on the NRL for enabling him, and others like him. Outrageous grubbery at it's finest.

I'm with you....(except take it easy with the old fart jibes. Words can hurt you know...)

But yes...to the emotional few who have declared they're done......don't let the door hit you on the arse on the way out.
...and once you're out
their aint no coming back in.

I'm gone, and I will come back if I feel like it and you ain't gonna stop me either fellow old man!
If Vlandys is gone, I will be back for sure.
I will pop in from time to time because you lot are good value, but **** the NRL in its current state.

I just can't put up with the incompetence of the officials week in and week out.

See you in 2 weeks.

This is the thing that is ruining the game right now in addition to the freaking six again and management morons. The bunker is supposed to reduce errors, not make a million more of them.
It’s no good if the people in the bunker are still human. It’s like letting your pets pilot Elon Musk’s new rocket ship (granted mind you that you’ll probably be in safer hands!😂).

I’ll say it, they were offside all night. They are coached to test the ref because history tells them they will get away with it.

They're absolutely coached to do it. Pretty sure Cam Smith was talking about it in a podcast with Kemp a few weeks ago. Teams will test the ref at the start of the game to see how far they can push him for things....laying down, line speed etc.

Our only 6-again came in the 72 minute and I am pretty sure that it was seconds before Paix threw his wayward pass. Can they go back for this?

Secondly - I am actually not convinced that Haas was offside from the quick tap when Walsh was away.

Have to say though, the Storm's first try was horrible defence. No-one was lined up between the sticks.

This one shits me. Let it play out and let the video ref rule on it in that situation IMO.

Melbourne don’t change how they play, whether they cop a few early penalties or not, they know the ref won’t have the resilience to continually penalise them every set. It’s the same with the PTB, they will play it off the mark every single time knowing the worst that will happen is once in a blue moon the ref might call them to go back and play it. Every single element of their game is about pushing the rules and the game have always bent for them.

because heaven forbid if refs actually maintain consistency, the idiots at fox and ch9 bleat on about having no feel for the game etc.

You guys are the only ones who think the Broncos were rorted. Flegglers bullshit after playing the ball was clearly an infringement and that was a no try. Olam should have been awarded a try for Walsh's clear shoulder charge. The sin bin is the only thing that went the wrong way IMO. Otherwise you guys were reffed to stay in that game. The scoreline flatters the Broncos. You should be concerned about that messaging from Kevvie. These young guns will drop their heads now they think the NRL is after them.

It is all pretty funny though, the NRL basically has a free shot at the Melbourne market tonight. No Thursday AFL game for one of the few weeks this happens per year and you have the exciting ladder leaders and also most supported league team in town. What a time to showcase this fast game the NRL us all supposed to be about. Instead we come away with an overly long piece of garbage that I doubt anyone anywhere enjoyed.

Yeah Melbourne got the win but that game was putrid and would have not won any new fans whatsoever. Imagine trying to explain 90% of those decisions to a noob. I’d just be throwing my hands in the air and saying ‘Who on earth knows?’

As James Graham would say, ‘Who are we trying to cater for?’ Speaking of which, what’s happened to that guy, sadly haven’t seen him on Fox at all and he was their one shining light.
He has his own pod cast.

Definitely worth a look.

Come on man, if you are going to troll, at least make it interesting.

Six Agains in favour of Melbourne 6-1!
Sin Bins in the favour of Melbourne 3-1!

If a ref making a team play 23 minutes of a game with 12 men against 13 is trying to keep the team with 12 in it, well that is some 4D stuff.

Which young guns are you referring to exactly?

From adversity comes great strength aye.
They will not drop their heads. They have more spirit then you are giving them credit for.

Maybe that is just your wishful thinking.

The try that had no bearing on the outcome? The hughs shove?
You're seriously cooked if you think Melbourne had legit commited 1 six again all night.
