NRL Round 20 Discussion

Todd Smith is by far the worst referee in the comp. His games are just a shitshow.

Brailey has been very good lately. I love Shaun Johnson as an analyst but his commentary gigs this year have been a bit off. Hopefully he gets better.

The Todd Smith and Adam Gee combo is what dreams are made of for NRL fans

Spencer has spent too much time listening to his own hype. Thinks he's a hard man who can fold a player with contact.

I wish I could find the numbers again but apparently Todd Smith has a massively skewed penalty count and 6 agains combined towards home teams in his games this year. Interesting. He has found some weird ones tonight.

Sharks were tackling each other there

That's bad fullback play from Kennedy. You have to lay off and give your guys a chance to catch up

What is Ronaldo doing... didn't want a bar of that bomb

How the **** did they win that challenge... he's just getting back to marker

Dolphins have been promising on this recent run of games, but it's all been during the origin period and they've mostly been beating up on shit teams during that time.

Prior to origin they were 4-7 and sitting 4th last.

Rd 12 - Won 44-8 vs Dogs in Sydney without their origin players
Rd 13 - Bye
Rd 14 - Won 56-6 vs Dargons at Suncorp
Rd 15 - Won 58-4 vs Cows away without their origin players
Rd 16 - Lost 26-20 vs Newcastle in Perth
Rd 17 - Won 50-28 vs Souths at Suncorp
Rd 18 - Bye
Rd 19 - Lost 24-12 vs Sharks in Sydney
Rd 20 - Won 43-24 vs Cows at Suncorp
Thats all true, as is who they don't have.
Flegler
kaufusi
Plath
Gilbert
Saifiti
more recently Bostock and Kodi

The point of the post though was to point out the excuses that have been trotted out in Kevs defence don't really stack up when compared with the fins squad which keeps fighting and playing to their systems.

100% dolphins are a team that turn up for every game they've been in... their culture is set in already.

They also have some of the slickest backline movements in league at the moment... Nathan Fein is the underrated assistant that gets no attention from the wider media.

My comment is more about the hype fest around dolphins... when they've mostly just been beating up on terrible teams... and it's mostly because they actually turn up with the right attitude
