Ive seen it all before. We will come in fired up, be in their faces. Get on the board early and be up at half time.

Then after half time we will lose reynolds to some bullshit injury and coates will score two tries in the last 30 seconds to solidify that the broncos are destined to never win in Melbourne again.

This is quite true, although I would add for the player to be let off he needs to be a Panther , or an ex Panther , then there will be some BS mitigating circumstance and its all good

I mean we aren’t pulling pessimism from nowhere man. We never beat these guys.
 
To beat the Storm we have to be playing to our potential and up and at them in defence winning the tackle the whole game, not just for 20 minutes or a half but the entire 80 minutes.

We have struggled putting together an 80 minute performance for as long as I can remember and this year is no different.

Neither do most other clubs, but we're the biggest bunch of entitled brats in the comp, so we'll come up with any pissweak excuse to shift the blame.

You can bet Madge knows he's up for major kudos if he can turn the tables.

Things are a little quiet with the build up. I'm sensing an upset.
 
I think 2023 was the last time I was proper confident of a win against this team of wankers. Ironically, this is the most confident I have been since then. Definitely not on the same level as '23...but I can smell an upset.

Regardless of this result, I still can't understand how the Storm are such heavy favourites to win the comp.
 
Melbourne haven't played a top 4 team since round 9 (which they lost to the Raiders).

They're not as good as they used to be.

If you watch that game we were actually pretty poor in the first half, it's just that storm were horrendous.

Led 8-0 at halftime and only because Paps kicked out on the full with a short dropout just before halftime to gift a penalty in front.

The scoreline starts to blow out, but storm looked to be running out of energy by the time finals hit in 2023

Penalties helped to. They got twice the number of penalties against them (10 - 5), and no 6 against (3 for us).

They also had 4 HIAs 😆
