PRE-GAME [Round 24, 2025] Broncos vs Dolphins

Well we looked like we were building into the season and now we’ve lost both halves for weeks. Cobbo might wel be out too, he was very proppy on that ankle. Season looks done through injury at the wrong time.

So let’s assume all of Willison, Piakura, Cobbo, Mam, Reynolds and Madden are gone because they mostly likely are, we’re looking at:

1. Walsh
2. Karapani
3. Staggs
4. Shibasaki
5. Mariner
6. Bunt
7. Black
8. Jensen
9. Walters
10. Haas
11. Gosiewski
12. Riki
13. Carrigan

14. Paix
15. Herherington
16. Talty
17. Junt

We’re stuffed.
 
I think we've got this. Even without Reynolds and Mam, we've still got enough strike. Dolphins missing a few too.

The team as a whole is playing a lot better each week.

Hunt to 7, and maybe Staggs to 6? Mariner can cover Staggs and Karapani can come back in. Paix and Walters 9 and 14 (Billy plays best of the bench).
 
Honestly at this point who cares. Put whoever you want out there. We aren’t winning a finals game so what’s the point.
 
I couldn’t care less if we win or lose this ( assuming Reynolds is out for the year)
 
Madden will probably play 7 if he comes thru this weekend. Billy could play 6.

Could be worse.

Billy is far better at this point but he’s doing roo well off the bench. Paix would start.

Unfortunately I reckon Madge does

Which would be funny because we have complained about having too many hookers all year and all of sudden we actually use them all lol

Lockyer just said he would pick Madden and Billy halves. Paix or Smoothy bench hooker to interchange with Hunt. If Cobbo out then Arthars comes back in.
We will be ok. Beat Knights and Cowboys and we make the 8 for sure. Need to beat Dolphins for top 6. The effort is there which is pleasing.
 
Hunt hasn’t looked like a 7 all year. Hasn’t really looked like poaching Mam’s spot either, but I can’t see us playing two QCup halves or Billy taking the 6.

If Madden’s not up to it I’d almost be tempted to throw Black into the mix.

Man I love your persistent positivity but I actually agree. There’s no reason we can’t hold on/keep winning up to the next Storm game.

The spine still has 3 players in it that plenty of teams would froth over.

A back line of Walsh, Karapani/mariner/arthurs, Shiba and Staggs is fantastic still.

Do we go with Walters at 6, Hunt at 7, Paix at 9 and pick a bench rookie maybe for the spine? I’m looking forward to team list Tuesday.
