Sportsbet have got us at 1.95 and storm at 1.89
That doesn't add up given the history of the two clubs unless they know something we don't ie. that the storm might be resting a heap of players.

I get a feeling that Madge will be able to fire us up for this. Bellamy will obviously have them through a brutal week however we can expect the same from Madge.

Last night I think that the boys thought their work was done after the first two tries and the Cows were boarding their flights to Bali, they won’t be thinking this about Melbourne. At least that’s what I’d expect.

I’ll still be shocked if Bellamy plays Hughes. If so, have everyone run right at him with a late inside step to stretch him. If he plays, cook his shoulder. **** those grubs.

Melbourne are a very similar side to us. They put on early tries and then have a period where they struggle to get into any grind. The difference is that where we score 2 early tries, they often score 4.

If they don’t have Hughes, and already without Harry, we simply need to jump them here. The opportunity to go down to Canberra is far too valuable. A knock out final will come at some point but we need to avoid Penrith or the Roosters in week one.

We were big favourites until Friday night. I assume they expected Bellamy to rest a lot of players but he said they will name a full strength side. Storm on the back of a flogging with all their players back (Hughes) was expected back this game should have them paying $1.40 if you ask me.

Probably already been stated, but Madge said in the presser that multiple players, not just Haas, were sick with the flu early in the week.

I think they’ll be up for this physically and mentally

You aren't giving enough credit for how high the bookies power rate us.
Historical records don't come into calculations when setting odds.
For context, if Melb play an identical side to Friday and we don't rest anyone, we'd be $1.50.
The odds at the moment is likely assuming full strength (minus Grant and Hughes) and its weighted based on motivation

Just listened to the presser now, shocked to hear that Madge was concerned about fielding a team at one point haha. We need to go easy on this group sometimes.

Madge also said Mam & Cobbo are healing well in his on field interview with Fox. I guess their follow up scans on Friday went well.

Bellamy will 100% rest some players this game. They locked in second spot and will get home game no matter if they won or lose so would be a no brainer. Still doesn't. Make this game any easier but coming against storm last round is a pretty ideal outcome all things considered

That's about right.

Melbourne won't be resting anyone and have to play us at Suncorp after we went to Townsville and were just as bad as Melbourne were defensively, only difference is we were able to score more points than we let in.

It's a coin flip game, regardless of the record we have against them.

They won't be resting anyone, Grant is already out. He needs to see Hughes play before their finals campaign, Papenhuyzen has just come back from a lay off himself, he could rest Munster? That doesn't make them easy beats by any stretch.

On top of all of that, they just got belted at home in his 600th game as coach, they need to build a bit of momentum heading into the finals, he's said that already.

Your probably right there. Hoping for munster to be rested still. Who knows until team lists get announced he typically will always rest players week before finals and has done this for multiple years but with current circumstances you are most likely right mate

Either way I believe broncos will be up for the game mate top 4 is arguably a more important game then finals weeks, if you miss top 4 the odds of going all the way are ridiculously low.

Im reading alot of get into the grind better and stop with the offloads. We need to the exact opposite, we should move the ball everywhere and offload heaps to score points against them to win like roosters done.

I think 'hoping' the Storm rest their players is giving an undeserved advantage to the Broncos. Particularly considering how inconsistent the Broncos' form has been this year. Realistically, if the Broncos can't beat a Storm team offering their best lineup, they probably don't deserve a top 4 spot. Let's face it, sooner or later, they are going to have to face the Storm in the finals. And you can't make a grand final or, let alone, win a premiership, going through the back door.
