It's more than that; the Raiders can't start getting ready for Brisbane until Monday, the Broncos started Friday morning.

Leigh Matthews is still upset about 2004 and the Lions not getting the same prep as the Power. Days make a huge difference.

It should be as even as possible not three days difference. It just makes sense in finals to play the last teams from the last round last in week one.

I even think both prelims should be played on the same day.

If the Raiders had anything to play for this game, you'd be right but they've known they would be playing us as long as we've known we would be playing them. You can't honestly tell me with a straight face they care whatsoever about this game today.

They would have been looking at Brisbane all week and this game would have been handled entirely by an assistant coach or intern.

If we beat Canberra we'll probably play off in the semi-final. Meaning only one of us can proceed to the GF.

Huh? The vast majority of them have had from last Sunday to prepare for Brisbane.

Giving it some more thought I think raiders will get the sunday game.

I don't think the NRL would want the wahs game to be on Saturday as there is an All Black test then.
It would be a bit rough for the Raiders to have to back up on Friday night so it makes more sense for the wahs game to played then.

One of the reasons the NRL gave for moving back to this semi final system was because it gave more flexibility as the games could be played in any order unlike the McIntyre system.

Now that there is that flexibility they should use it.

They can't put wahs on Friday... the game is 7.30 start which is 9.30 NZ time... would be ridiculous to make them play that late at home.

Storm vs Dogs will be Friday... why aren't dogs whinging and bitching that they only get a 6-day turnaround 🙄🙄

Wahs either have to be early Saturday or the Sunday game.
 
I know Raiders are resting so many but this just looks horrible heading into a Major semi finals and just looks bad apon Ricky. This doesnt fill your squad full of confidence and want to win mentality.
 
Sportsbet have changed us to Sunday when last night they had us as the Sat night game. Id say its as good as confirmed if Madges quotes weren't proof enough

Yeah good point I'd forgot about the time difference.
If the wahs play saturday I'm glad I'm not the promoter trying to promote the game up against an All Black test.

Ah yes, but it's either compete with the All Blacks in NZ or deal with Ricky's whinging... pretty easy choice to make... someone else can deal with the All Blacks no one cares about NZ in Sydney anyway

They rested half their squad for the Dolphins match. Ricky is being a baby.

They’ve had two weeks or more to prepare as a result
