He's an insufferable alchy, the less attention you pay him the better mate.
 
The proof that Madge is an excellent coach is in the improvement of the players.

Look at how many players have gone to another level this year - even the blokes that were already at a very high level (Haas, Walsh, to name a couple).

Not to mention taking a player like Shiba who couldn't crack first grade anywhere, and now he's got himself a spot in the Kangaroos' squad.

The wingers man. The wingers. They both were playing like prime To'o. The turn around is insane, for years our backline has felt useless, the last 2 months, Mariner is bending the line like Haas and our backline is providing bulk metres so our forwards can be fresh to dominate late in the game.
 
I feel like we had that extra drive added onto the talent because of Madge. Nobody else wins us this premiership.

In the future, if things go bad with Madge, I want to see the players that can't handle it, get dropped. I trust in Madge 100%.

won an international cup with nzl
won a super league cup with wigan
won NSW series
won 2 premierships with south and broncos

he has to be in some elite company with stats like that

If its true, just shows Madge isnt as set in his ways as some people want us to believe and has the flexibility to adjust to situations as needed.

I'd say there would be some truth to it. It sounds like madge puts alot of weight on his senior players. I noticed a genuine shift in our playing style for one after origin.

We started like shit let's not lie.

Last nights grand final we looked like we did earlier in the finals season in 2023 when we blew the storm and warriors off the park. They were our best games that year! I think we just peaked at the exact right time this year. Half 2 of the GF we played our best football. Won ugly for alot of the year but turned it on and ramped it up when it mattered most. I think that's the difference. Along with the fitness and mental resolve Etc. He just knew when we needed to peak and got us there.
 
Biggest thing for me, upon reflection heading home today...

Man we, under Madge still have so much growth and upside. We've just done the impossible, taking the hardest possible route there was.

One of the hardest strength of schedules, having to go through minor premier raiders (away), ending the Riffs 4 peat run, and then the Storm in the granny, giving up leads in EVERY SINGLE MATCH. The injuries through the year, the suspensions, the injuries in the GF alone, teams dont often win on the back of that, Madge got us to believe and find a way. We barely lead many mins of matches across the whole finals...

I still think, Madge has so much growth to get out of this team.

Imagine what we can be if we channel those 2nd halves into the first halves too? Imagine what we can do if we work on not being the clear #1 most penalised and 6 again'ed team in the comp? Imagine what we can do if we aren't missing our halves and spine for games upon games all year.

Exciting times ahead fam.

I dont think this story shows what buzz thinks it does. Even if it is true (doubtful) the fact the leadership team had a platform to bring this up and felt comfortable to express it is a sign of GREAT leadership and communication skills!
