6 players have returned to duty Monday, marking the official beginning to the 2026 season. One includes Ezra Mam, a full month ahead of schedule.

Ezra, Tom Duffy and Aublix Tawha were spotted sprinting in today's stifling heat.

I have mixed feelings about this comp. It would be great to be crowned World Club Champions but each time it's been played (regardless of who is representing the NRL) I always question the wisdom of flying an entire squad halfway round the planet (I've made that trip a number of times and it's a MF) the jet-lag, disruption to preseason, potential for injuries in a meaningless comp., more jet-lag on return trip. Like I said ... mixed feelings.

Yep. I'm a fan of the WCC but not in its current format and not at a time when the players, ours in particular, are playing more games than ever. It's also a World Cup year.
