FOOTBALL English Premier League 25/26 Discussion

geez salah is ordinary these days. just about everything good in his game has evaporated.

conversely, everything good about pool at present runs through ekitike and wirtz. the future is here.

Wirtz is just so smooth on the ball.
yeah, that quick footwork to setup ekitike's first was nice. nothing over the top, just quick feet, direct and an unselfish square. simple and effective.

and a nice finish to make it 3-1.

I swear some United fans who say they would buy Elanga back haven't watched him in years.

Had a good run under Nuno at Forest, sure. But thats it.

Wirtz and Ekitike are carrying this team.

.... and people were doubting them. Haha fools.

Wirtz is easily the most underwhelming player in the league this season considering the fee. Its not like he's bad, but he's not at the level you would expect when you pay that much for a player.

I am keen to see how Angel Gomes goes at Wolves. Hasn't been playing many big mins at Marseille which I would say is a little alarming, so keen to see how he goes.

From the handful of first team games he played for United, the physicality was tough for him.

You would think a player that costs £116 million would have more goals and assists in the PL than Dorgu....

If he were a United player, he would be a total flop.

Good against the shit teams. Underwhelming against opposition that's physical. He could probably live up to his price tag, but as it stands he's been a waste given the amount spent.

I don't even dislike either player, and have been pretty impressed at times with Ekitike who has been the best so far of the 3 big money PL striker imports.

The disingenuous remarks about them actually playing well despite stats (mostly Wirtz), is what I find fascinating. You will not convince me that there would be anywhere near that level of grace given to a player who joined a United or Arsenal for that sort of fee and produced that output so far.

Thats even when you ignore they joined the current champions. Not a basket case in United trying desperately to find a way back to the pointy end of a league table or an Arsenal side trying to take the leap from #2 to #1. It should be a much more stable environment you are walking into joining the champions, setup and ready with a title winning base and mentality for you to just slot in.

Liverpool have spent that big sum in one window after a title win and have gone backwards in performances and league position. Realistically unless any of the new signings are putting out other wordly performances and stats, how can they possibly avoid these sort of criticisms?

Anyways, im absolutely dreading this Fulham game later. Had nothing to lose last 2 weeks, everything to lose today. Chelsea and Liverpool winning too, so anything other than +3 is a fail.

I dont think he's got much of a chance. We are genuinely the worst side i have ever seen in the premier league. I'm not sure what he's going to add unless we are losing Joao Gomes or Andre.

I actually find it a bit of a weird signing this late in the window. To have any hope of even getting close to staying up, we really needed 4 or 5 players in very early in the window, especially in attack with pace. If we had those i could have seen us possibly having another 6 or 7 points from our January fixtures.

Lol. Throwing this away.

Edit: Fk me thats nice from Bruno. Good finish from Sesko too.

Please hold on.

Spurs love taking points off City. They played really well 2nd half.
