Why aren't the Broncos that upset that he is going.
What don't we know.
Because he has been a good player and helped us get a premiership. No hard feelings blokes done his job and if we wants a new chapter then good on himWhy aren't the Broncos that upset that he is going.

How do you know this...Haas has left for legitimate reasons. If it was about money he'd have started a bidding war among Sydney clubs. Post football at the Broncos he could also likely earn more money than at Souths. The idea he left because of clauses is ridiculous. Brisbane were willing to do a 1 year deal. He doesn't need the safety of a 3 year deal. Even if he did his ACL next year, he'd still attract top value in the market. You can speculate on what the clauses mean, but they aren't the reason he left the Broncos. We will never know how he feels about Madge. All we can say is that he didn't enjoy playing under Madge enough that he wanted to stay. Again he's entitled to play under another coach he's close to. The media is desperate to uncover some kind of hidden motive or secret plot. Maybe there is one, but there doesn't need to be one to explain what's happened.
I'm guessing the price tag required for a prop, but probably more about the lack of long term security in your cap given he's basically only guaranteeing 1yr at a time with the clauses and options. Why aren't the Broncos that upset that he is going.

I think this would be a big reason why. I mean look at how it is now for example, they have been trying to extend him for months and he drops this decision after any top replacement is gone for 2027, you can't keep doing that every year. Honestly it shouldn't be this hard to re-sign a player when you have the cap space and you are the premiers. Amazing player but ****ing high maintenance.I'm guessing the price tag required for a prop, but probably more about the lack of long term security in your cap given he's basically only guaranteeing 1yr at a time with the clauses and options.
There's a risk your R&R is spending a lot of time on Payne to get another year with more money and more clauses, etc. and then November 1 rolls around and you're negotiating with him again.
You'd almost need a member of R&R to be dedicated to Haas contracts so focus isn't lost on other contracts that need to be sorted out.
Dobbo said on Kevvie's podcast that the club aren't that disappointed that Payne has left.
in fact he said they had a board meeting yesterday and decided against trying to get him to backflip
he's also still trying to sell the Broncos are in crisis though. and according to Dobbo, Broncos fans are "pissed off" they lost Haas
plus he's on the Madge is too tough. before admitting it was what won them the premiership
That’s dumb last year showed that we don’t rely on him that much we still have a solid base Willison jenson and patty with the strong back 5 we have now plus adding exra walsh pezet and mozer and we can replace haas with two workhorses that all we need where was haas in 2023 and 2024 did he win us games the only reason why we one the grand final is because of our spine playersHaas is the best prop in the history of the nrl, there is no down playing it. We wont replace his quality with the money the cap frees up.
Dylan Brown is getting paid more ffs.
When i knew more of what was going on, i know Payne certainly was known to be divisive around the club.
