I actually learnt a lot from that game.

• Set restarts are a curse on our game, the 2nd half was closer to where we need to be.
• The Storm won't win the comp again this year, they just don't have it.
• We definitely have a bit of a hangover from last year and are underdone with the condensed pre season we've had, the boys are building tho.
• We were far from our best and still got it done.......plenty to be excited about.

I had similar nerves in the final 10 minutes to the GF.
Just glad the team showed great resilience to get another one over the storm, this time in their own backyard.
We build on this now for the rest of the season.

We looked like a whole new team after half time… and with only one change, Piakura to second.

Mariner was worst on field in the first half, looked light years better in the second… if Madge drops him next week I wouldn’t be surprised, but he turned it right around. His step inside didn’t break the line but he looked dangerous and made good metres. Staggs much better too.

Whatever we do next week I liked Anderson. Hard worker, safe under the high ball, only errors were forced.
